Oh I think he's 3. I like Tkachuk's game, but Svechnikov has more skill.
For me it's
1. Dahlin
2. Zadina
3. Svechnikov
4. Tkachuk
5. Bouchard
6. Boqvist
7. Wahlstrom
8. Dobson
9. Lunderstrom
10. Akil Thomas
I know that's high for Akil Thomas, but he's a good player. Reminds me a lot of Zuke in a sense that he just goes 100% all the time. - tomburton99 T-135 days for us to deliberate this. Yippee!

He's good. Plays a physical game and skates well. Bit of an agitator, not as much as his brother. |

I'm just scared of Rangers holding out too long and something happening to Nash and/or Grabner - jimbo83
Due to their recent rash of injuries, I am also worried Jim, on the possibility of Nash or Grabner suffering one as well, should time drag on too long with them not yet dealt. But my worry there also hinges on A.V.'s likely overuse of them, & especially so in regarding Nash.
I will never forgive A.V. for that game in Carolina a few seasons ago, when Nash blocked a shot with his knee in either the late 2nd or early 3rd Period, forcing him to the locker room to have it checked out. With the Rangers leading I believe by at least 2 goals, Nash then returned to the game at some late point in the 3rd. In its closing few minutes, A.V. used Nash as a penalty killer, whereby he absorbed another shot off the same knee, forcing him to leave the ice for good.
The result was Nash suffering that infamous, "deep knee bone bruise injury", causing him to be sidelined it seemed endlessly, with all wondering what was really wrong with his knee. Around the same point of that season, Girardi blocked a shot with his knee in a game in Vancouver and left the ice, but returned after being checked in the locker room. Despite his pain, he remained in the lineup, prior to it being determined some days later that Girardi had suffered a "cracked kneecap injury" in that Vancouver game.
In comparison to the two's injuries, Rangers fans then became wrongly upset with Nash missing game after game, while Girardi was still playing "Girardi like style" in further games, until he could no longer bear the pain. The one who Rangers fans should have been upset at was not Nash, but rather A.V. on that matter. Who knows how much more than a bruise, that Nash had really suffered in that Carolina game, which they went on to win, without Carolina adding a single goal more. |

Has the offensive ability, big body, loves to hit, plays a physical game etc etc. All the things we lack on this team. |

Rick Nash is brittle, the end.

Why not bring up the style of play for the rangers and the evolution. It went from a defensive tortorella team to a high flying vigneault team. The team had success with each coach but the constant remains that Hank worked his ass off. The team should think about retooling the defense first mentality with shot suppression to give Lundqvist a chance to steal games. |

They need to play like Nashville. Good team defense and quick outlets which lead to quick offense. No team will play perfectly every game but I like Nashvilles style. Pretty much the way the Leafs played against us. Leafs need a bit of help on defense though, but they aren't far off.
Think it has to be a middle ground. Torts was 6 goalies, AV and Ruff are no defense. |
