It sucks because i think Mcdonagh is a very good defenseman and we have these false expectations of him. He is what he is and while we would like to see him show more emotion on the ice it’s not his character. We don’t know actually how he is in the locker room. Regardless I like Mac and I really think it would be hard to replace him no matter what you get in return. He needs a solid partner to play with.

If the Rangers want to actually rebuild, then guys who could fetch a legit haul would be Zuccarello and Mcdonagh. Now it's realistic for the Rangers to turnover all 20-23 players, but they can do it with some of them.
