If Botterill is as smart as he's reported to be, then they have the right guy and don't need a 'hockey czar'. - kingcong39
punch was the only gm in sabres history to have had gm experience before he was hired by the sabres |

That’s about right.... I don’t get the point?
Over 50% of ROR production has been when it isn’t 5 on 5, where roughly 80% of the game is played - sbroads24

sabres without ror would be far worse than they are now...we witnessed that in a game against Carolina in December...they went 15/60 on the dot and lost 4-2 |

you're raising ticket prices for a franchise that in the last four and a half years has had two last place finishes, a 23rd, a 26th and now have an probable 30th place team...the Sabres have won 69 of 189 home games...
you're right, they're not idiots, season ticket holders on the other hand.... - Michael Pachla

If there is ever a home playoff game or a game 7 Stanley cup game at home, this idiot will be there.
I really think they freeze the tickets this season. Or like they did a few yers ago, give back 6.5% in sabres bucks.
Then they hit the profit share and keep people a bit happier. |

pretty sure russ Brandon does the representing and I highly doubt he has any influence with the other owners - Michael Pachla
Maybe. My broader point is that openly rebelling against 30 other teams would have backlash. The Pegulas would be outcasts in the NHL world.
People will opt out of their season tickets, as is their right. They'll come back once the Sabres are good too. |

Gotta play by NHL rules. If they quit out of revenue sharing, it would set a precedent to allow other teams to buck the NHL union of teams. Pegula would be blacklisted from all events and informally stripped of any kind input at the league level.
They'll probably just increase the amount of Sabres Bucos that sth get to make up for the price increase - jcragcrumple[/quote
If I were a STH, I would be furious with the Bs over the past 4-5 years.
I am surprised that there hasn’t been some sort of organized protest, like boycotting a couple of games to send the message this won’t be tolerated further.

This is correct, but that’s because the alternative is Sam Reinhart who was a disaster at center or Johan Larsson. Not because O’Reilly is great |

It's not just about his own net worth.
It's about the net worth of each asset you own. He's right. Not being part of revenue sharing, the same revenue sharing product we were all clamoring for in 2005, is just a poor business move. |

The best protest is relinquishing your season's. But when they're good in 2-3 years, you run the risk of not having a seat. It's not like the owners come to your house to shake you down for cash. Just stop buying tickets. I have very little sympathy for angry SSN ticket holders.

I have never once said they didn’t matter. I said he wouldn’t repeat it.
And he won’t.
He had a great year last year. He’s back to shooting between 8-9% and back on his usual pace of 25ish goals per 82 games. |

nothin personal, boss-man...just pointing out that they've been raising ticket prices despite incredibly poor play from the team |

Right.
Maybe they should try a different approach.
Of course with all those SC’s over their 47 years of existence, I can see why they stay the course. |

Ror is an easy target.
Highly paid
Losing team
He's not the problem. He'll end up with 25 and 30/ 35 assists or close. Same as always, give or take a few points.
Everyone female doges about playing with scrubs
Ror plays with the same guys |

I filtered by 'even strength' and his points went from 15 when filtering by 5v5 to 25, so unless they count 6v5 as even strength, then he has 10 points between 4v4 and 3v3. |

look, if season ticket holders want to pay for it, and re-up at a 95% rate, it's up to them...no skin off my back...but I've seen plenty of complaining about ticket prices for a poor on-ice product |
