You don’t understand these stats. And I’m not being an ass, but you don’t.

Last week, efficiency stats don’t hold water.

This week, raw 5 on 5 numbers are misleading.

Either you don’t get them or are stubborn. Probably a mix of A and B.

As far as Tavares vs. Chimera, it’s called an outlier. It’s possible for players to have good years and others to have bad ones. Doesn’t mean it repeats itself.

Ryan O’Reilly scores like a 3rd liner at 5 on 5. Period. He isn’t that good at offense

- sbroads24

There’s TONS of “outliers” though

When there’s that many inconsistencies,
the stat doesn’t accurately define the situation

You have to take into account so many other factors to get a true measure of playerA vs playerB

look, if season ticket holders want to pay for it, and re-up at a 95% rate, it's up to them...no skin off my back...but I've seen plenty of complaining about ticket prices for a poor on-ice product

Quality of shots too
Where are they coming from?
And how good is the player doing the shooting?

Regarding 'this', it's simple: don't go to games.

That said, not participating in revenue sharing would be moronic.

Ror is an easy target.
Highly paid
Losing team

He's not the problem. He'll end up with 25 and 30/ 35 assists or close. Same as always, give or take a few points.

Everyone female doges about playing with scrubs
Ror plays with the same guys

I think you’re under the assumption that I haven’t looked at them. I have. O’Reilly is not a very good offensive center. His reputation exceeds his actual numbers.

He’s a fine player. Nothing special.

He’s Tyler Bozak.

The oilers are worse since mcdavid signed an extension

Since cars were invented, fewer people die of dyptheria

Correlation doesn't equal causation. The team around him blowwwwws

nothin personal, boss-man...just pointing out that they've been raising ticket prices despite incredibly poor play from the team
- Michael Pachla

Nothing personal taken,

Problem is, when you turn in good seats, you will never get them back. Years of seniority.

Thats the fear. We all love hockey now, still after all these crappy years. Imagine if we were actually good.

It would be an all time kicker

You're picking a specific metric by which to compare.

Does Bozak lead the league in FO percent and have 2 pims on the year?

Clearly there's more to the story

no, I am looking at it from a perspective of

Jack is now in year 3, about to hit the years of his best performance and we are worse in the standings in year 3 than year 1

and this is why people were doling onto season tickets for the last 5 years, to see a kid like this and the team in the playoffs

And I’m a Roy fan. Pissed me off when they got blown out and ruff was flipping his lid. Roysie was all like tell this geezer to stfu and let’s get the toga party started!

Even so... he was great for us.

Bozak is a good FO guy career 53.5%
O’Reilly is career 54.9%

Seriously, this FO this so overblown.

busted his butt for months to rehab for a game 7

I think he got ran out of town as a sacrificial lamb
