I dont know what his foot speed is like now, but last year i thought he would be an ideal scandella type add. Like i said, the extension was probably bad (too much term) but his defensive numbers have been pretty good and even on a bad NYR team, hes got the best defensive numbers.

As a waiver claim it might not be the worst thing. There's no combination of moves that will make us a playoff team next year, especially since it appears that Botts apparently isnt planing on making any big moves in the summer. So you're looking at a buy low candidate in terms of assets. If it doesn't work out, amnesty him when the lockout ends.
