This is what i was referring to as well. If he wants that much id bet it goes to arbitration. If it does, do you know how they evaluate ufa vs rfa deals when deciding on a number? Itll be interesting to see.

if I'm Buffalo, I throw 2 years @ 4 million in Reinhart's direction and if not, then he either goes to arb or sits or someone signs him and we get a 1st and 3rd out of it

I imagine they break eichel and reinhart up soon. The new regime has had their chance to look at them, also showcase Sam for the league.

If the sabres plan on trading him in the off season, keep them together. Boost sam's value.

If they plan to sign Sam to a bridge deal or risto type deal 6 for 32 . They better put Sam back at 3rd line center, keep the production down.

Even though this is correct there have been plenty of guys who have played at or above his level that have taken bridge deals. Pk subban, nikita kucherov, etc. who knows whats going to happen. I hope they dont give him more than 3 years.
