He’s tied for 210th in 5 on 5 points. With the all-star caliber Jason Pominville
He doesn’t score 5 on 5. And it’s a problem. - sbroads24
Kadri plays with better talent. It's not even close.
Ror is probably the 2nd best sabre
Kadri is probably the 6th best ?
Matthews
Marner
Nylander
Riley
Marleau
Maybe a few more

I didn’t make the point. Someone said there isn’t 5 2nd centers better.
That’s just not true. - sbroads24
I think Ror is 35th in center scoring in the nhl.

Yes, and is 12th in 5 on 5 ice time for centers.
15th among all forwards in total ice time this year.
He’s deployed as an elite player.

Of course they're kidding. He'd have to clear waivers.

Don't most of the centers you're comparing him to take a lot more O-Zone starts? Do they also play on significantly better teams with better linemates? I would offer that these three things would effect his offensive output, no? |

Wouldn't be unhappy with Svech at all either. Wished he got more time at the WJC. Signing Antipin recently shouldn't hurt either. He should get a lot of usage for the remainder of the season. Hopefully he goes home and tells his friends.
Having a quality import prospect has to help and Eichel isn't a bad reason to sign either. - RhinoFan
Now that Vegas Fd up with Shipachyov,
I doubt (his teammate) Gusev is ever gonna sign with them
Gusev is 24yrs old and has 1 point less than Kovalchuk in the KHL this year (22-40-62pts)
It’s worth trying to get his rights imo

He’s not suddenly terrible, he’s fine. He plays 6 less minutes a game than O’Reilly.
Ice time and opportunity matters - sbroads24
When you want to say how bad ROR is, you refer him in a snark tone as “tied with all star caliber Jason Pomminville.” Then somebody explains that Pomminville was pretty good last year until he got to this squad, and suddenly snarky “all star caliber” becomes “just fine thanks”.
This is classic “switching horses midstream.” |

Yeah but if those two superstars have a Max total of 185 points for example and the other players have totals that add up to those players would that not equal fair trade - GERBE!!!75PTS
You're only pulling this poop now that you're out of the playoffs, there's no defending the timing. If you were both in the thick of it this deal never happens. |

If we had more talent around him, he wouldn’t have to play so much

are we somehow getting Point, Barzal, Kadri, etc?

Some do, yes.
Has O’Reilly’s linemates been bad? Hasn’t he played with a combo of Kane, Okposo, Reinhart and Pominville?
Those aren’t grade A players, but it isn’t exactly Zach Dalpe or Matt D’Agostini |

Wilson is. Okposo starting the season was lost. He needs faster wingers, no doubt. He's no speedster |

With pretty good numbers, surrounded by a team assembled to finish in the bottom on purpose.
His best weapons are:
Okposo who came back from a brain injury
Kane who doesn't pass and played mostly with eichel
Sam who flat out sucked for 45 games
The rest of the forwards have a total of less then 25 goals. 58 games in.
Ror played with talent in the world cup and was great .
He's a 6.5 million $ guy getting buffataxed to 7.5

I don’t disagree.
But those guys, especially Kane, who he’s spent a lot of time with is a speedy, 2nd line winger.
I wish O’Reilly was 3 years younger. He’d fit our timeline better.
By the time we’re contending he’s going to be a broken down 30 year old.
They play him way too much |

I agree but also not ruling it out. Honestly think Pu may have best shot then Olofsson. Long shot tho
(didnt mean all 3 would make it) |

Heck,
I think Mittelstadt might not even
