The bills way of hiring McDermott at coach then beane at gm? Seamed backwards but, it's working.
Maybe jbotts has an old connection from pitt?
I'm pretty sure Lindy would come back, maybe as the coach again. - Boss34
Unless the Rangers make a change and Lindy gets that gig. |

What kind of man drinks Long Island ice tea?
Light weight Americans who come to university in Canada and drink for the first time when they are 18? Can’t handle our strong beer?
Beer is the go to. Rye/ rum and coke to mix it up. G&t to numb he pain. That’s about all we order at the bar.
I can’t believe there is a guy saying how yummy a LI IT is... - Da_Cashman

I think they like him, want to keep him and think he still has plenty of upside - Michael Pachla
I like him too. I think they miss him in Rochester.
Probably send him back for the playoffs.
He's a tmgm guy,
Same with guhle and Antipin (kinda) |

I had mentioned it before some months back now.
I was on Allen at the bar across the street from Duke's... I think it's Exchange now. It was one of the last stops of the night, as I was a bit fk'ered up. This was either the summer when we first traded for him or the next.
At the bar ordering drinks, look around a spotted Kane. I was pretty excited and it seemed not a lot of people knew who he was, let my buddy know, but I didn't want to bother him so I just posted up away from the bar a bit.
He starts heading to leave(I'm assuming) and as he's walking in my direction. I move towards him a bit so I can say hello before he goes.. so I approach with a big smile and say "Hey, Evander!" and give him a pat on the shoulder; he responds with a closed fist punch/shove to my chest and walks away.
I fell backwards into the wall but just kinda laughed it off.. I'm a happy drunk like a few others in this thread, and I didn't want to be any reason for him to be in any more poop or miss time in the forthcoming season.
Him and I are basically the same size, and I don't mind a good scrap.
I met Ott, Regher, and Weber at Snooty Fox before too... those guys are legit. - BareMetal
that wasn't very nice on his part now was it? |

I like his approach this year even though it's meant a lot of pain in Sabreland this year - Michael Pachla
I like what he's done. I do wonder how much patience people will have if they struggle out of the gate and he chooses to make Casey into this year's Guhle. This team could be worse next year.

I don't know. Why hire him in the first place then? You know his personality going in. - Wetbandit1
Phil is definitely good for the tank
Also helped get jack to sign
Phil is nice and was acceptable to Jack |

they were lucky to make the playoffs this year...that said, coach did some great things on the field while gm showed some balls moving big name players |

And I could say beer is for pussies, drink whiskey, neat like a real man, but that would be dumb. A real man orders what he likes, not something he doesn't so he can keep up the appearance that he's a bad ass.
But if I'm out, I'm not paying big money for good Scotch, if they even have any.
I'm a fan of lime juice or sour mix, so yeah, I like the way it tastes, piss off. |

Seriously, what else can be said?
I like Casey Nelson, hopefully a 5 or 6 d next year?
Are they playing him to shop him or because they like him.
Rochester has lost 5 straight?
Any correlation? - Boss34
Even if Nelson is a 3rd pair guy next year...
Him + Guhle aren’t nearly enough to fix the defense imo
If we don’t get Dahlin,
I’ve got no clue how we are gonna fix the defense
Seems like trading O’Reilly or Sam or Kane is likely to only get us a “2nd pair” type
I’m not as down on Risto as a lot on here,
but it’s undeniable that he’s struggling playing too much in all the hard situations
We at least have to get a “#1” somehow
Maybe taking some pressure off Risto can let him settle in as a good #2
How are we getting that #1 though?

Hiring lindy back would be a great pr move .

Hopefully we wait until were on the upswing |

Sure, but the flip side is you can't keep changing coaches every other year. You'll never get anywhere. |

I agree. Ullmark could make this team competitive every night, I think we see the best out of everyone.
Still wouldn't mind a good young back up / other starter |
