I know my opinion is worth nothing in the NHL world but I would take Kane over Nash 10 out of 10 times at this point in their careers. Kane is like 6 years younger and Nash's salary is close to 8 million. - doppelthat
I agree with you, i'm not a fan of trading Kane but unfortunately it's going to happen.I like Nash but I would rather have Kane. |

Spector was saying the Sabres along with a few other teams have interest in Hoffman, I can't see the Sens doing a deal with us. I think they would care where they moved Hoffman if they move him at all. - SABRES 89

They are both just rentals for a playoff run this year. If a team can fit either under the cap it will come down to which they think will be a better fit and produce more this year alone. Who knows. |

He's looking for 7 a year I was told but he's never came out with a number publicly. Now agents are great at hyping there clients. |

Never said they are going to move him for sure, it's been talked about as an offseason move after Botterill see's what we have after this season. Bailey is another player they aren't very happy with. - SABRES 89
I agree, I th ink we see both of them after the trade deadline in buffalo. Maybe the last few weeks.
If th ereis a "bright side" to eichel injury:
Maybe we add some talent at the deadline with out fear of falling from an early pick |

I would be shocked if someone gave him 8x7. Maybe 8x4. Id guess more like 6.5x6 |

Only reason why I see Bailey and Nylander here if they don't move them is because, they are cheap plug ins to see if they can build off them. |

Maybe with the cap going up but it could also be for less. I wouldn't want either Kane or Nash for 8 mil. Also as a rental for the playoffs I think I would take Kane over Nash as well. We have seen what Kane can do when put on a line with good players. Kane would probably thrive in a playoff game, fast paced and hard hitting. |

Fun fact. Max Domi has never improved his offensive numbers since his rookie season. 0.64 ppg first two years, down to 0.42 this year. One has to wonder if that makes his value weaker than perceived. |

He plays at a playoff type pace all the time, it will be interesting to see how effective he is when everyone else is playing at the same pace. Wouldnt shock me if he was actually less effective in that environment. |

I think he roll has changed and that's hurt him as a player IMO, we will gladly take him here. |

I wasn't but if I was I think the edge still goes to Kane. Nash in the playoffs has not been very good. |

That's a good point but perhaps Kane puts it in a gear we haven't seen before in the playoffs. Anyway, I'm glad I'm not GMJB, a lot of tough decisions soon. Time to study for my exam |

Have to wonder what Nash would do with eichel?
Has Nash ever had a top center?

Agreed he be way better up here - GERBE!!!75PTS
It wouldn't surprise me if they call up Nylander at some point, but if they play him less than 9 games, his ELC slides again. No reason to burn a year. I would rather see Alex for a few games than another Bailey call up. |
