I think between the clubs that have been mentioned, Nashville makes the most sense. Not sure that Dallas or the Blues are really close enough to make that type of move and give the Rangers what they want. Nashville is a bonafide cup threat. I can just see them giving up more. - Pete V
You know he finds a ridiculous playoff scoring touch wherever he goes |

I gotta think they'd be willing to part with Tolvanen
this is a guy who went to the KHL after Nashville drafted him, and they already have nightmares of what they went through all those years with Radulov - jimbo83
Tolvanen was the 30th pick in last year's draft. That's good, but what caused his stock to go up some much?

He's their best prospect and is tearing up the KHL as an 18 year old. I don't think they're moving him for a Rick Nash rental. Especially not after they just moved Girard and Kamenev in the Turris/Duchene three-way deal. |

He's setting all sorts of 18yo scoring records in the KHL. He came out of the gate absolutely on fire.

Oh, the infamous 18 year old scoring records in the KHL. I've heard that about 10 million guys over the years. - Pete V
No I mean records for scoring from an 18 year old player |

Maybe they get him, just seems like a long-shot for me. Nashville is certainly a Cup favorite, but that seems like a steep price to pay if it were my decision. I think Fabbro is the guy they'd part with as the centerpiece of a deal. |

Well, David Poile wants to win a Cup this year, which is the reason why GMs have traded good prospects for rentals and veterans from the beginning of time.

Well if I had a young player I would rather have him breaking records than playing like crap. |

The KHL is kind of crap league, where they play crap defense. I would put more stock in his numbers in the USHL to be honest, because that's the style of hockey he is going to be playing over here.

Oh I agree, just pulling your chain.
Kucherov was talking about that, and how he really had to work incredibly hard to get used to the NHL level and style of play |

I'd even throw Holden in the deal with Nash to get Tolvanen, that's how generous I feel right now |
