I would do a deal of Carlo, a 1st and either Bjork or Forsbacka-Karlsson
We are not getting Mcavoy but I think we have a better shot at Sergachev since they do have Hedman in his prime as opposed to Chara at the end of his career, replacing Mac with another Montreal 1st round defenseman they should have never traded would be perfect - KreiderBomb
it would be quite strange seeing Callahan come back. He’d be miserableeeeeeeee
amazing watching the end of the Tampa-Toronto game last night, T.B pulled their goalie and Girardi was out there as part of the 6 guys trying to get the tying goal

LA Kings have talked to NY Rangers about Rick Nash, but according to my sources it was a quick conversation so far... The Rangers asked for Gabe Vilardi and Blake said, "No."

Going back to Monday's blog talk on the signing of Dan Boyle instead of re-signing Anton Stralman, it wasn't brought up that the Islanders had first actually made Boyle an acceptable offer as a UFA. But Boyle delayed them because his first choice was to play for the Rangers, with A.V. having a huge say in that for improving their power play.
With Stralman, (as the situation later also played out with Hagelin), he nor his agent had never heard from Sather at all in regards to just discussing a new contract. Anton was quoted right after signing with Tampa Bay that "he could not wait any longer, and had to do what was best for him and his family". In Hag's case, he was seeking a little too much, but was never contacted again to negotiate somewhat lower in his wanting to remain here. His trade yielded a very short "Etem" history, a 6th Rounder, and still awaiting for Ryan Gropp to make it up to here as a 2nd Rounder.
But this is becoming a norm here under management in waiting too long to just even discuss new deals with their pending free agents before it becomes too late. A case now can be made 13 days prior to the trade deadline for Grabner, who if not yielding a 1st Round pick in return from a true Cup contender, should be re-signed. He and his agent made it known that they would like to discuss a new contract here. If losing him, along with the more likely to be dealt, Nash, we will be right back next season to where we were when they lost Hagelin's speed, plus defensive and penalty killing skills. And we will not settle this time around for the next Emerson Etem, because all 82 games at a minimum still have to be played.
