To me, That letter indicated that Mac and Zucc are the guys they were referring to being dealt away. Being the captain and fan favorite and all. Nash I guess also but, that’s how I interpreted it anyway

They wouldn't have bothered to make a public announcement if they weren't putting up the "open for business" sign, but they can't afford to take pennies on the dollar for a player like McDonagh. They should be able to get more from a team that gets him for two playoff runs, but if the value isn't there at the deadline they'd hold onto him until the draft.

Hes probably right about pissing the players off. They’re much more emotional, spirited and all that. I recall Zucc giving a rousing Hell yea kind of thing in hanks ear recently after a huge save

I'm glad they are getting to see all these kids play in NHL games, it helps evaluate talent through the lense of an NHL game and lets them see what they really have in their prospects and what they dont.
