My neighbor was having a garage sale and my dog ran right over to this giant stuffed Scooby doll. He says just take it. Long story short, my dog did unspeakable acts to Scooby and it took me about 2 months to finally clean up the millions of small styrofoam balls. - mdw7413
That explains why you are now wearing a Scooby Doo costume around the house I guess; out with the old in with the new.
To each his own man, no judging here

They are all about the assets and getting what they can for everyone and anyone
To me, That letter indicated that Mac and Zucc are the guys they were referring to being dealt away. Being the captain and fan favorite and all. Nash I guess also but, that’s how I interpreted it anyway - Slimtj100
I agree. They wouldn't have bothered to make a public announcement if they weren't putting up the "open for business" sign, but they can't afford to take pennies on the dollar for a player like McDonagh. They should be able to get more from a team that gets him for two playoff runs, but if the value isn't there at the deadline they'd hold onto him until the draft. |

Bruce Boudreau said the letter issued by #NYR has certainly made an impact on the Rangers' game as of late
"I think [GM] Jeff Gorton is either a genius and knew that that was going to happen, or the players said F-you & we’re gonna show you that we don’t need to abandon." |

Think its a bit of both honestly. And the team got ripped by everyone after the nashville and boston games. They had to have heard or read what everyone was saying about them. |

Hes probably right about pissing the players off. They’re much more emotional, spirited and all that. I recall Zucc giving a rousing Hell yea kind of thing in hanks ear recently after a huge save |

They’ve forced AVs hand with playing the youngsters
Not saying a whole heckuva lot, but Poink and Gilmour are a collective +3 thus far |

Assuming as of the start of tonight's games that Tampa, Boston, & Toronto (in any order) end 1st to 3rd in the Atlantic, along with Washington in the Metro. likely earning at least a Wild Card spot, these are the records the remaining East Conf. teams need to play to reach 96 points, should that be the requirement for Wild Card #2. It's also the maximum amount of additional Regulation Time Losses they can suffer.
Capitals........(13-14-0) - (Current 1st in Metro)
Penguins.......(15-10-0) - (2nd Metro)
Flyers...........(15-10-1) - (3rd Metro)
Devils...........(17-10-0) - (Current Wild Card #1)
Hurricanes.....(17-8-1) - (W.C.#2)
Blue Jackets...(18-9-0)
Islanders.......(18-7-0)
Rangers........(18-7-1)
Panthers.......(21-8-0)
Red Wings.....(21-6-1)
Canadiens.....(22-4-1)
Senators.......(24-3-1)
Sabres - (Can only reach 94 points if going 26-0-0)
The current difference from 4 or 5 spots below the 2nd Wild Card team, up to at least as high as the 1st Wild Card team isn't that much as some seem it is here otherwise, (& especially so for those first 3 of 5 teams currently out of W.C. eligibility).

I still have a hard time believing the Canes and/or Devils can make the playoffs. Even the flyers |

I'm glad they are getting to see all these kids play in NHL games, it helps evaluate talent through the lense of an NHL game and lets them see what they really have in their prospects and what they dont.

Smith was just brutal. I'm actually glad Gorton did that. Sign a new contract come to camp out of shape and suck. (frank) you, go to the minors |

This is something that has not really happened for quite a few years. The Rangers have been relatively healthy for a long stretch of time.

Only thing I worry about Pionk is he is built like a 15 yr old girl. A bit on the small side. Looks real good though and has a high offensive upside |
