Thanks for the update. The next 2 weeks mean a lot to me as it shows what Botts is all about. I do think he understands as a team at the bottom, if there are players in the last year of their deals and you don't plan on resigning, you need to get future assets for them. Hope he gets us back on track!

I'm very interested in the what GMJB brings in at the deadline too. You had me very into the idea of Honka last night. I just hope Botts considers the defense of this team as something worth addressing. Beaulieu, Antipin and a 3rd round draft pick did little to improve this team.

I see your point. If you're just receiving draft picks, identifying the high bidder is easy. But contrasting different prospects is more of a challenge. Can Botts sign Borgen, or does he let him walk?

During the "thank you to troops" break at yesterday's game, Kane came out and skated around a bit. I'm not sure if it was a skate issue or a slight injury.
He skates back to the bench, and lehner jokingly won't let Kane in/open the door to the bench. Eventually Kane opens the door and punches lehner really hard to the chest. My son's friend turned to me and asked "what was that all about". It looked like they were joking. But were they??????

Reminded me of the recent story of Kane punching one of our posters really hard in the chest.

That would take moving up to the NYG's #2 overall pick. Would cost something like, #21, #22 one of our 2nds and a 1st in 2019. Not sure I'd pay that price for a guy concussed twice last year?? Rather move up to the low teens and roll the dice with Josh Allen. Boom or bust, but that boom potential is enticing.
