Here's a good rumor:
Spoke with an "employee " of the sabres..
Who has spoken with the trainer:
Eichel's knee is messed up Pretty bad: (left knee)
Sabres are not announcing his injury, but there is some pretty big concerns. Receiving treatment a few times daily.
Sabres are keeping fans hopeful for his return. To continue to sell tickets.
This shouldn't be a huge surprise, jack was folded back pretty uncomfortably

Seems shortsighted. Considering Eichel is a product of TM. And besides that, TM actually drafted a couple good looking guys in Pu, Guhle, Borgen, Olofsson and Asplund, and brought in Smith and Nelson.
No denying he did a butcher job, but 'washing the team' of his stench would be careless. - TheSabresTaco
When TM drafted Eichel he didn't do anything you or I couldn't have done. Same with Sam. He doesn't get credit or blame for drafting those guys. In my opinion he gets the blame for ROR, Pysyk, Moulson, Okposso. I'll give him props for those guys when they accomplish something. But last time I check this organization has trouble developing talent. |

I'll give TM credit for one thing, the dude had balls. Wasn't afraid to pull the trigger, and after years and years of a GM who was afraid of his own shadow, it was refreshing.
Thank God he's gone, though. |

I put (left knee) in parenthesis, meaning I wasn't sure.
How about you add something instead of subtracting

I can’t pin it down, but a few teams suspected there was some traction between Buffalo and Philadelphia. Their two AHL teams, Lehigh Valley and Rochester, met last Saturday. It sounds like it depends on if the Flyers’ wish to buy, and they woke up Wednesday five points into the playoffs.

Cautious optimism but if it was just about CJ I think this would've happened already without the need to scout each others AHL team. Sounds like it's a serious-ish deal if it goes through.
My guess is still Sanheim/Kane |

My gut takes me there too, but based on the buzz I read it feels like that is only part of broader possible discussions |

Agreed. I suspect a bigger deal has been discussed but the nature of trade deadline (time crunch, pressure all that) makes me think they'll go simpler.

Reading back but one thing on Sam... He is not the best skater in the league but I firmly believe he is the smartest hockey player on the Sabres roster. He sees plays developing very well, has a knack of being in the right place at the right time on the PP. Sees open spaces. He still has tons of value and it will be very apparent when we get some consistent lines with better players going |

Agreed it would help a lot if we actually had players that could score when Sam sets them up in front of the net.

W. Nylander adjusted well also. Sorry i expect more from an 8th overall pick when a past 24th overall pick and 8th overall pick had success in the same league. Nylander isnt even close to sniffing 0.5/ppg nevermind a ppg |

This is hardly insider info, it was someone I had a brief discussion with while parking my car.
I thought I would post it. He said he had spoken with a sabres trainer. No reason to think he would be saying this without cause.
You got me.......... (detective Irish) or detective irish?
What color were the crutches????????
