I'd LOVE to see the Hawks card draw #1...talk about teeth gnashing around the league. LOL...
Right now things are looking good for a top 7 pick. It would be too hard to catch the Oil or Canucks, but anything is possible. I'd hate to win a few late and blow a pick, ala Chicago Bears are famous for doing. Just tank the sucker and get one of those studs. - kwolf68
I have a hard time imagining the Hawks losing out the rest of the way. i think they will go on some kind of streak, not to get into the playoffs obviously, but i just don't see this team going something like 3 and 20 or whatever amount of games are left.
If they're really looking to tank though, suit up Rozy and tootoo or something |

Buffalo never wins the draft lottery anyway. |

How about giving more than 1 shift at our next "last shift promotion event". |

Seabrook not a good contract, yet people think Rick Nash is movable? Older than Seabrook, even worse cap hit and on pace for a sparkling 40 points. Why does no one suggest he can't be moved? |

Ah yes. I missed that minor detail. Seabrook has a team on the hook for 6 more years. |

Everybody has to see what plays out . On another note , did the hawks call up the other goalie from Rockford last night? I think there are a couple of teams at Johnny’s icehouse in the Sunday morning league looking for goalie so maybe Glass is heading over there. - wonthecup10
I think we find out at noon eastern time. Glass either gets claimed or sent down. At that time Berube officially gets called up even though he is probably already here. |

Fellas--
The Seabrook for Kadri deal was a rumor that came out a day or two before the Panik for Duclair trade. It was brought up on here at that time.
It's a bogus one. Not sure why it's coming back around. |

It is a virtual impossibility Seabrook is moved. While he now and then shows skills of his former self, he generally looks washed up, old and slow and also doesn't even play very physical anymore. At his rate + term + obvious diminishing skills, there is no way he'd be moved.
The Hawks can talk all the BS about how there is no chance he is moved like he's such a dynamic player. The real reason there is no chance he'd be moved is no one would want him. |

And Nash has a modified-NTC not a NTC. Nash has already been asked for the list of teams he would be willing to be traded to. |

Unlikely, but nothing is totally impossible in this league with its rules.
Dion Phaneuf @$7M per has been traded 2X, who could have forecasted that?
Teams kept signing Jammy Jagr until he burned out at 45.
The Kings were stuck with Marion Gaborik and now they aren't.
Etc. Etc.

So? I don't like it. Panarin was obviously good enough out the gate, but if he needed some time to acclimate then he should be willing to invest, IF IT'S really that important to him.
Why don't we hear about this bullpoop from other players? It's always the Russians who whine about being sent down, rush back to Mother Russia if things don't quite go their way. They are better now than they were back in the early 2000s, but trifling doesn't even begin to describe so many of these guys.
You want to play in Russia...(frank)ing stay there. Don't waste our time. - kwolf68
I think the goalie Stan got in the Leddy trade, Nilsson had a similar clause, which screwed the Hawks because we had just acquired Raanta as Crow's backup and had Darling in the wings. Didn't they spin him to Edmonton for a bag of pucks or something?

100% what this is.
No reason for Fisher to come back. It's just so the Preds/media can write a Hollywood story about a guy who comes out of retirement to lead the team to a cup.
Please... |

DeBrincat is not cooperating with the Hawks tanking strategy, he's been demoted to the 4th line.

Well, he does have 37% of the team's goals (7 out of 19) in the last 9 games.
But look - these lines are now balanced - each has at least one complete non-scorer on it. |

Who is the best defensive prospect in our system not named Jokiharju? It seems like both Krys and Mitchell have good upside. Are either of them ready? |

Wow they really need to wake up if that's the case |

As far as i know, no, neither of them are ready.
Forsling is supposed to be one of those better prospects.
Tuulola is another one. I don't know a whole lot about the other guys selected the last couple years. |
