Two things I called last year..ADB and Hayden. I saw ADB a lot of Erie (my son played hockey in D1 club up in Mercyhurst) and I called him to break camp with Hawks...Ditto for Hayden. BOTH of these kids should be part of the next wave. PERIOD. BOTTOM LINE. - kwolf68
I want to like Hayden. My feeling is he was always a step too slow...I could be wrong. Could also be with the quick hook Q has on some guys he was playing not to fail - meaning too conservatively. |

No way man. His skating has come a long way. He is working hard on it. WAY better than 2 years ago. Works out with a pro skating coach every year in Connecticut. He knows what he has to do. Get that skating down, he's a beast...lives near the blue paint and lays the lumber. We need a kid like that. Intelligent too. You develop and build with him.
He never got a fair shake on a top 6 role, yet some guys seem to do no wrong. That's the thing about Q that bothers me, an evident double standard.
Hayden did nothing to deserve being sent down, period. Since he has gone down the Hawks have become a no check team, except those games Wingels plays

It's funny. Stan's boy chorus loves to bring up the deal to bring in Leddy, which honestly was a master stroke. But how good are you really if you then trade that same master stroke for absolute rubbish?

Hey kid, looking at " your time on the job" or should I say, this site, I would clean it up junior, you haven't even been here 1month , quick way to alienate yourself early on by making grammar school like comments. - wonthecup10
When I want your advice I'll ask for it. I've been reading you and others whiny comments for years |

He was sent down to work on some things, so that he might have a better success ratio when he returns. If all he usually did was bottom line roles, then it is good to get him in synchronization for a more offensive role.
I agree with the other stuff you said. |

Definitely a bad move but his other two moves allowed the clown car to take a lap around Chicago for the parade.

HEY!!!! Stop letting facts get in the way of a good narrative.......if only leddy and his +/- of -31 were on this Hawks team........we'd have a lottery pick locked up

I just don't believe he needed to be sent down to "work on things". Was his skating that bad to where he couldn't compete? I didn't see it. NO, I am not a pro coach, but he was playing well in the scant minutes Q afforded him.
The team is NOW pretty much done for the year, why is Patrick Sharp (god love him for what he did) playing and John Hayden on the farm not getting very important NHL ice time? Because the Hawks are a bloated, arrogant, self obsessed organization that is clouded by utter delusion.
Ditto for Keith and Seabrook. YES, I expect 2 and 7 to return next year, but politely tell them you're taking a few games off here and there because we got to find some (frank)ing players to play in 2018-2019.
The Blackhawks are now like Motley Crue on tour...still good to see the lead guitar player walk onto stage in a walker and they aren't half bad, but man it's still sad to see. |

Whom fo you like better, not that you like any of those listed below too much.............. some will stick around just because a team needs to have so many available as depth or rotating.
Kempny, Oesterle, Dahlstrom, Snuggerud,
Gustafsson
Obviously Franson is toast, Seabrook most likely plays one more season then reassess him and Toews if thry are the same or worse. They may be humbled into retirement or a trade. But I doubt Toews, and Sesbrook will be allowed to impede the team's progressionunless they show marked improvement next season. |

Hawks just patrol the outside and do nothing, do nothing, do nothing, then Ducks counter attack....tie game. |

I loved the 4th line of Bouma-Wingels-Hayden. For more than a few games they were the best line.......... But as far as I know Hayden is getting top 6 minutes down on the farm. I think the organIzation knows he's a for sure bottom 6 guy but want to see if he can play top or middle 6 and the best look right now is at AAA without overwhelming him. He's got 11 points in 15 games at Rockford.
I do agree though once they are for sure out of it bring him up.

Maybe you should try that technique for a top three draft pick. |

I wouldn't paint the AHL as some kind of purgatory or punishment league. It is a big step up from playing in the 30 game a year loop called the NCAA. A large number of very good NHL players got their start in that league learning what it takes to be a pro, and they freely admit that.
If Hayden plays 20+ minutes a night down there in all situations he will be a much better player in Chicago next season, instead of dragging his ass around playing 10 minutes or less on a bad club this year.

Not to mention Saad
Not to mention their tough punk Ritchie probably scores to win it while Q keeps Hartman on the bench. |
