What a surprise the resident know it all blow hards got his delicate feelings hurt again. What a surprise another cry for help from the authorities. God you're a fvcking crybaby cvnt

I doubt you hurt his feelings because I doubt anyone on this board gives a sh1t about what you say. Most people come here to discuss hockey, not to insult the other posters or troll. You, Goalie-33 and Vopatsrash are different. You don't come on here to add to the discussion, you come to rile people up for no reason whatsoever.

savvy...where did you come up with that list...ouch...
- bogiedoc

Bogie, a little excel work to sort through a lifetime list of Hawks, a little sort and voila.

I was going to start going through that list but I figured it would stand on its own merits to the points I've made all along. Figured the guys/gals on the board would be able to pick out a few of their "favs" and wax eloquently about them.

Beyond guys like Sopel that simply had a workmanlike career and retired, how many of them really weren't NHL caliber?

Pretty telling IMO about the talent assessment abilities of the organ-I-zation.

The reason is bc they have mental health issues, which is a very serious issue. Enjoying bickering and throwing insults like a 13yr old drama queen is certainly a red flag and best addressed by a timeout/ban. Trolling like this new clown tonight is almost as insane as Stan Bowman saying the team will be pretty much the same next year.....

-Duclair a ghost
-Team defense poor again
-Now Kane and Schmaltz can't score
-Anisimov a ghost

Bad teams find ways to lose, and that is exactly what this team has been doing.

I wish I could counter this...but i can't; most of their mistakes are ending up in the net...

golas scored last 9 games: 2 2 3 2 2 0 1 2 2 = 16 1.7 gpg

6 straight, 13 of 16, 33 out of 58 games less than 3 goals.

5x5, Hawks lead the league in SAT - 2nd in SOG - 15th in goals scored.

Is it really a bad thing they are bottoming out like this? It's a blessing in disguise. You've got to think they have a Top 10 pick locked up with their play and schedule. It will take some luck to get Top 5 but the guy they take in Round 1 HAS to be a future core player. Hawks can't afford to miss on a Top 10 pick if the "One Goal" is one more Cup with 19+88.

Where are they in Goals if you remove the outliers (Games 1&2 combined 16 scored)???

All situations, 15 in the first two games - take away 10 (assume they’d have scored 5 in the two, maybe a bad assumption) from the 162 - the 152 would put them 24th.

Under 8 minutes TOI, lazy penalty, no physicality or compete. No you see what the Coyotes and Rangers saw. Wouldn't be surprised if the bus to Rockford was warming up or the trade winds are blowing.

Always tough to lose . But the dive for 5 is still alive . I still like this team and believe they will come back strong next year . Need to get healthy ,new coach , and a few line up tweaks .. Other teams have done so , with less .. No HAWKS No

Cannot use that kind of logic for just one team and not the others for team standings re goals scored.
To be fair one would have to make adjustments to the 2 highest scoring games for the other 30 teams too.

Oh well, at least we dumped Panik's salary. Maybe we get a conditional pick at the deadline for him.

They seem to let-up after scoring a goal, even more so with a two goal lead. It's like they think they've solved the riddle and more cups will be rolling in before they know it. Similar dynamic last year. Like Q said after a game recently, they need the mentality that they must win every shift... well, they'll need that mentality next year after they tank this year and get a high draft pick...

I was more interested in their Goals/Game avg minus those 2 outliers.

Ulf gave away during the intermission interview why the Hawks lost this game and so many others this year. After a period (2nd) that saw the Hawks blow a 2-0 lead with over-aggressive play inside the Ducks’ blue line leading to 2 easy Ducks’ goals, Ulf said he thought the D-Men should’ve been even more offensively aggressive. Unbelievable.

On the 1st Ducks’ goal - Murphy’s misplayed the puck, stumbled and fell when he should have simply fallen back easily controlling the puck. What was that nonsense? If a puck is hard to handle fall back to where it is easier to handle even if that is outside the blue-line. Live to fight another day.

On the 2nd Ducks’ goal - Kempny feels pressure and instead of taking the puck outside the blue-line or getting it deep into a corner or safe area he perfectly passes it to a Ducks’ player who immediately passes it up-ice for a break. Again live to fight another day. If both Murphy and Kempny play defence first hockey both plays are avoidable.

Compounding the Murphy situation is his partner is also not in a position to thwart the situation. Compounding the Kempny situation was Seabrook was deep inside the Ducks’ zone.

On the 3rd Ducks goal Kempny is both out of position and not hard on the puck. All 3 goals were avoidable. Another point obviously is this one - no goalie wants the 2 on 1s or worse situations. However, does that mean you can’t make a freakin’ key save when it is needed? Make a mistake it’s in the net - too easy.

Fixed. Hawks need to start resting the vets. Build for next year. Maybe get 2, 7 and 19 a last run, develop the kids, get 50 healthy and make a one last ditch effort. Would hate to wear more tread off 2, 19 and 7 tires in these meaningless games.

Soshnikov has had a bunch of injuries but when healthy is good enough to be on this current Hawks roster. Blues gave up a 4th for him which is cheap; Bowman won't ever select a player as good as him with any 4th rounder he has in his GM lifetime.
- RickJ

Hey if sosh stays healthy ..it's a great pick up for the blues .IMHO. .he's fast..great shot. .and..very aggressive. .he just couldn't get healthy. .and now that he is..he had to go .do to waivers. .no room in T.O...sucks. .

Absolutely (frank)ing pathetic.
The last remains of the Leddy giveaway.

Fire Blowman right now.

I know most here don't put much into +/-, but Nick Leddy this year is a -30 on a team that is -17 in 59 games.

The Islanders have been a dumpster fire for most of the time Leddy has been there - and seeing that he is a top pair d-man for them, I would think he has something to do with it.

I just don't get all the love for him. If he were still here, Leddy would still be a bottom pair d-man that Q would not trust.....

Tattoo what is frustrating about Duclair is he is all about motion. There is always lots of motion but seldom is it effective motion that ends in something positive. It is like watching a whirlwind but the next thing you know the opposing team ends up with the puck. He would be more effective if he kept it simple - pass quickly, shoot when you are open, dump the puck safely. Stop needlessly carrying the puck. In fairness noticed he dumped puck in a few times when normally he would have tried to carry.
