I too am a Kempny fan. I would like to see the Hawks re-sign him.

I would also like to see them get a top pairing stay at home right defender to play with Keith.

???? - Keith
Rutta - Kempny
Seabs - Forsling
Murphy - Oesterle

If Crawford is healthy and on top of his game this is not bad.

The forwards next year could look about the same.
Saad - Toews - Sikura
Schmaltz - AA - Kane
Debrincat - Kampf - Duclair
Hartman - Wingels - Hayden
Sharp - Jurco

I don't want to see Rutta or Kempny back. They're not necessarily bad, but they're not good enough for a team that wants to contend. This team has a lot of holes on defense, the only guy with certainly that should come back is Keith. Given other factors I'd say Seabrook, Murphy and Forsling will return too. Oesterle may come back, if he does it should be as the 7D.

Keith - ??
Forsling - ??
Murphy - Seabrook
Oesterle

I like the forwards, and your predictions are solid but I'd make a couple changes. I'd like to see Stan acquire a true defense 4C. Again, it's not that Kampf has been bad but he just may not be good enough for a contender. I'd keep him in the roster and change him in and out with Jurco.

DeBrincat - Toews - Sikura
Saad - Schmaltz - Kane
Hartman - Anisimov- Duclair
Jurco - ?? - Hayden

Plenty of them get ruined. Bad teams draft and put young kids on their roster before they are ready because they are desperate to win. Look no further than Edmonton. Agents stick their noses in because they want their client making $1M plus in the NHL not $75K in the AHL. Then the kids start feeling entitled.

But if you want examples of patience and development from the current era, take a look at 3 random guys - Mark Stone, Tyler Johnson, Ondrej Palat. All of them played about 100 games in the minors. Even Eric Staal played a full season down there.

Meanwhile Anthony Duclair spent 16 whole games in Tucson after being sent down from the absolute worst team in the NHL and while down there scored 1 goal and posted a +/- of -11. That is his complete minor league resume, but he's being declared a real talent in Chicago by the Hawk observers. Classic example of Stan Bowman the talent evaluator in action. Now what are you going to do with the kid to develop him Stanley?

If I'm stuck on the bench then that's the only guy I can reach.

You serve the same purpose here as the others....go back to your cave troll. All you contribute here is verbal assault on other posters who are here to talk hockey. You come here solely to instigate, a classic troll move. Stay snarky dbag, I mean dpard.
