I would rather they did not go the Cousins route. Us Sabres fans have seen what happens when you try and speed up a rebuild.

If we stay in 2nd to last, it's >10%, but you're point is still made. But, the prize if not Dahlin, is Zad or Svech, and that means picking top 3. We have 26 games left, stay the course, lose but develop prospects in the NHL, and get a scoring winger for Jack and Casey.

guhle seems like top 4, so does Nelson if they stay with their development. We and always trade for add defensive depth. We just need to not screw ourselves in the late stages of this season by going on a win streak that means nothing.

I see him putting up eichel type rookie #'s , I thought saying 40 points was safe. Less would disappoint me if he is a regular in the line up.

I know the %'s. The odds on finishing 30th are only about 50% right now. 31st about 25%.

In my mind, we're picking 5th. If it ends up higher, I'll be happy. If it's lower, I'll be disappointed.

I'm a little more conservative on Nelson. He's a 7th to me, which means playing near full time with Bogo still on the team. Honestly, even projecting him on the team next year is a feel good story. Very happy for him.
