We're trading up its going to be crazy in buffalo when we do - GERBE!!!75PTS
I don't see McBeane trading up to #2 to get a twice concussed QB, who hale the teams think is an a-hole. Now he's got the ceiling to be a top 5 qb, and he would be our a-hole, but two concussions as a 20 year combined with a perceived lack of pocket presence + the cost of moving up that high =huge red flags. I'd rather trade up to 12, take the 6'5" 237 pounder with an equally high ceiling (albeit with a big floor too), and take my chances on the other Josh. Sign Bradford for 2 years and let him sit for a year ..... |

i member when the Redskins spent a "treasure trove of premium draft picks" to the Rams for RGIII when in reality the better qb was one 4th rounder, Kirk Cousins. - TheSabresTaco
I remember when the Eagles and Rams did it too....
I remember the Browns and Bills passing on QBs and being stuck in purgatory. |

I've watched Nylander play a bunch this year...he isn't anywhere near as bad as he's made out to be. People see his lack of production and have labeled him a bust. I see a lot of talent from him when he plays and a lack of maturity/vision. That can be learned, his skating and passing are impeccable.
I don't think sending him to the SHL would help his development either. You do? What's the big perk? - RhinoFan
Let's hope he's a better player in the NHL than the AHL. It could happen, especially if he ends up playing with Eichel. My biggest worry is, at the same age, his brother William averaged 3 times the points per game in the AHL as he's producing. Circumstances are different, but that's a huge difference. |

First off, no his ceiling is not as high.
2nd off he has been awful at basically a division two school.
3rd off the only reason people like him is because he is tall.
Mark my words, he is going to fail miserably as an NFL QB, there is no reason Josh Allen is ranked so high other than he is tall, and white |

true and Rosen has every bit as much talent as Goff and Wentz, but, the concussions have to worry you. He was in concussion protocol for a month last year. I prefer Allen or Mayfield and am very intrigued by Jackson. |

He definitely seems to float around the outside on the PP, but 5v5 I've seen him drive to the net more often. He lacks strength, most of the defenders seem to muscle him off the puck when he does. That to me, again, can be corrected with strength training.
So to answer the question, his defensive game isn't the best but has been improving...his strength needs work and could help him in both ends I think. - RhinoFan
Well thats good to hear that hes improving in that area. Its just worrisome that he has these deficiencies in addition to little to no production. |

You certainly could be right, but you could also be wrong. the 56% completion percentage is a huge red flag. He lost all of his starting o-line last year though, and the protection was atrocious. |

I do. Because it's clear that he's not developing correctly in the AHL. If playing a year in the SHL to gain confidence and grow his game will help him the most, then you do what you need to do to develop an expensive asset. - TheSabresTaco
But by that same reasoning, wouldn't he have come back and played better after the WJCs? I understand a full year is a longer term, but if it's a confidence thing I would have thought we'd see an uptick after he had a relatively successful tourney. |

I think it will come. We rushed him for sure. He's paying for that now. He's not dynamite by any means, but I'm just not ready to shut the door on a kid with his level of talent. |

Yeah, I think it's clear he is not his brother. Would have been nice. But yeah, he's not dead in the water yet. |

Sometimes
But when you’re the #2 defenseman for one of the best teams in the league...
obviously you’re playing well
Not saying to nominate McNabb for the Norris,
but he’s a solid defenseman that GMTM made a HUGE mistake on
Murray didn’t get a “raw deal”
He totally Fd our defense - jdfitz77
I'm not defending tmgm
But I thought this was kind of a tank move :
McNabb had concussions and may have won us a game or 2 more in mceichel.
d-lo was a play now non scoring threat and a project
Fasching was punting for 2 years down the road

I could be wrong but I see alot of Grigorenko in him. Lots of raw talent but no drive or desire to improve his overall game. I do think his skating is a major plus though. He just needs to start producing. |

That explanation deserves to get him fired alone. He gave away 2 2nd rd picks in that deal.

Tmgm was clearly high on fasching.
Which trade did he not over pay? At least it wasn't (2) 1st.
