DLo has 7 goals all 5v5 this year - adambuffalo
I really like d-low. Good to see but,
He only had 12 goals in 211 games as a sabre.
Zero in 40 plus last year.

McNabb not that kind of player?
Guy that "win's" games.
Vegas wins quite a bit. 1st place?
And they extended McNabb, which adds to their "winning" formula - Boss34
Was McNabb that kind of player FOUR years ago?
I’d say no
It was (and still is) a dumba$$ trade
Thinking that keeping McNabb would’ve cost us Jack is an extreme reach |

Served your boy Murray a couple times
He was a fine customer, pretty quiet
Smoked a lot
As a GM...
totally failed with our defense in every single thing he did with the Sabres

His accuracy is nice but i stil fear he turns into johnny manziel 2.0, beane and mcdermott seem to be all about character and the team as a whole. Scary - TheHank
I didn't know much about him, just seen him play a few times. |

Me too. Best anticipatory thrower in the draft and we know how it is to have a QB who can't do that - turbo044
Seems as though it would be hard to grab him. |

I see what your saying, but I remember thinking he was going to be good. He would come up from Rochester and play well.
I also like most of our prospects and think they look good. So maybe he wasn't?
He is 27 now so he wasn't a kid when we traded him |

CBS Sports' Jason La Canfora reports "confidants of [Dolphins owner] Stephen Ross" informed him that Ross "was ready to move on" from DT Ndamukong Suh.
Suh is heading into the fourth year of a six-year, $114 million mega-deal and is set to count a whopping $26.1 million against the Dolphins' salary cap. That's almost $9 million more than the next-closest defensive tackle. Suh just turned 31 last month but remains a legitimate game-wrecking force inside. However, the Dolphins need a lot more than Suh before they start competing for Super Bowls. Designating Suh a post-June 1 cut would save Miami $17 million versus the cap.
Gee, who would have thought. |

All we have to do is make 2 different trades up costing only 5/6 pieces
That’s easy to do
Just ask Hat, he’ll tell ya |

I thought he was gonna be good too
But it’s not like he was (or is now) Karlsson who could take over games by himself
And even if he was...
keep him in Rochester during “the tank” like we are this year with Guhle
Don’t trade a promising defenseman when we are thin at the position
Terrible trade by Murray |

Hey...
if we trade up & whoever we pick becomes a “franchise” guy,
then whatever we traded toget him was worth it imo
I just don’t think it’s as EASY as Hat makes it seem
And we better make sure we take the right guy
Otherwise,
Losing all those picks & still having no QB will really set us back |

Because his talent evaluation was wrong about Fasching, and DLo was a lottery ticket at best.
He even said that wanted to use some picks to get players further along in their development to speed up the process.
He mucked that one up big time. It wasn't some super secret awesome tank ploy imo |

Or he just evaluated McNabb poorly
Thought he was expendable for a guy (Fasching) that he really wanted

or...he felt at the time that they an abundance of d-men and not enough forwards so he traded from a position of strength for a position of need |

As every GM in the history of GM's has done. It happens.
But I feel we're in much better hands now, anyway. |

Especially considering nobody has any idea where he'll end up getting drafted. Could be #1 overall (unlikely) or he could last to #21 (even more unlikely). Rumors are the Jets love him, so You'd have to move ahead of them to get him. That would mean moving to #2 (Giants), and if you move to #2 why Mayfield over Rosen, #3 (colts), #4 (Cleveland), or #5 (Denver). Denver wants a QB and could very easily take Mayfield too, unless they sign Cousins.
I say sign Bradford, whom, if healthy (a big if) I think is the best available QB out there and draft Jackson as the future. Jackson needs to gain some serious wait, but, would fit in the new offense perfectly. |

QB driven league. He said something like, if you're going to move that high up in the draft for whatever player, you better really really love that player |

or...he felt at the time that they an abundance of d-men and not enough forwards so he traded from a position of strength for a position of need - Michael Pachla
But we didn’t have an abundance of defensemen
We actually had a bunch of forward prospects at the time
If he did think that,
He was clearly wrong |
