6 players get points, 17 do not.
There's the problem - jcragcrumple
they are not getting 5 on 5 production from anyone not named jack in the top 6 up front and top 4 on the back end
it's great winning face offs, but you need to score goals and we are not getting average production from the team in this department
26 even strength points for ror this season
27 from kane
19 from okposo
14 from skunk
13 from risto
13 from scandella
11 from mccabe
17 from pommer
etc
etc
etc
this is why we are knocking on the door for last in the entire nhl |

Yesterday hamster interviewed Lehner after the game and Lehner was pissed. Hamster asked him what was said in the locker room in the second intermission. Lehner’s quote is very interesting to me:
“If you fought for all you life to get into this league and into that locker room, you would know, but you haven’t, so you don’t get that answer.”
I never heard anything like that before. - Der Kaiser
"Do I get that answer if i was a self proclaimed 'last cut' on the 1980 US Olympic team?"😉 |

The 5-on-5 thing is way overplayed imo.
If ROR finishes with 20+37
They don't ask how.
We need more good players, not fewer of the good players we already have |

I will post part of what I heard and leave it at that
botts is pissed
only scandella, pommer and okposo are trying to play housley's style
it's the player not the coach
botts is going with ullmark as his number 1 goalie in the fall
ror can be had for a hockey trade
take what you want from this - homiedclown
Appreciate the info.
On the info, yay for Pommer, but he sucks, so who cared what he's trying to do. |

I don’t understand why you are limiting the analysis to 5v5.
After all you coined “special teams don’t matter”.

you don't pay a guy 7.5 mil for that
again answer me this
ror is suppose to be a great leader
he goes balls out for team canada
he floats for 7.5 mil
why is this? |

I'm guessing it greatly helps that he has a better understanding of English. |

Rielly is far ahead of risto at this point and we're about to lose Kane? - Sabresfan-365
I call bullpoop as just last year everyone was on the Rielly sucks bandwagon. It wasn't until this year that they were like "maybe he's not so bad". I mean he was -20 on a playoff team FFS. Yes plus/minus sucks 95% of the time, but if you're a large part of a playoff team and finish -20 that doesn't exact show a lot, especially when Gardiner was +24. And he has 14 PPP this year already, more than the last 2 years combined.
And Rielly was drafted a year before Risto. |

a little of this and a little of the demand to stay with the nhl team or else from his agent sting has softened |

I know people got excited about Pommer at the start of the season. I expected him to fill Gionta's spot, third line + PK. He's done that well, so he's met my expectations. He was a salary dump who netted us Scandella, who has met my expectations too. The list of players who met my expectations is VERY small, so I like that trade a lot. |

I think O'Reilly gives effort every game, and sometimes it produces results and sometimes it doesn't. Why?
He's nothing more than a supporting player, and not a core player.
He's just not talented enough to make a consistent scoring impact even though he's paid that way.
He is what he is and what he's always been since he got to the league. |

Curious if they expect him to come back next season. A month ago, I would have bet against it.

Pommer has been a flat out no impact player for 2 months now. |

I don't see it that way. This is a bad defensive team, and he's good defensively. Offensively, he's struggled, no question.

Everyone drops a level at age 30, then drops another level at 35.
Great players become good players, good players become average, average become crap.
Pommers was a good player, at 30 he became average, at 35, he's now crap. |

You've been on a gaslighting campaign for months against ROR. You've inserted innuendo, conjecture and personal biases to poison the board against him

I don’t know where the “float” concept comes from. He was not getting on the scoreboard early this season, but he always works very very hard. |

It took a while but he has shown he can play in the NHL and earn NHL money. I think he would be making a mistake to go back, unless he’s changed his mind about wanting it. |

Nope, and even his biggest fans in th media have pointed it out like Paul Hamilton.
The reason 5 on 5 is so important
80% of the game is played there
If you don’t put pressure or score on teams at 5 on 5, you aren’t going to generate PP’s to score on.
