Richard Smelik is one of the most under rated Sabres of all time. Why people hate him is beyond me.

He was the calming guy that let Zhitnik skate up the ice all the time.

If Zhitnik had any other guy paired with him people would have hated him more than Risto is getting.

Get Risto a guy like that and let him play on the second pair and Risto would be fine.
