We can’t consistently win...
Bc it’s tough to overcome our shortcomings on an every night basis

BUT

-a 3rd line that scores consistently
-a 4th line we can use in defensive situations
-a defense that can help move the damn puck up the ice

We have some guys coming that will help these issues A LOT

And that’s gonna lead to us winning a lot more 1 goal games than losing them

When you say blow it up, how many of the 24 guys can be changed over in one trade dead line/ draft?

Seriously! What's the same every year is that someone makes a remark about his rumors, and then he goes off like a 3 year old and says, "That's it, I'm not telling you anything I hear anymore." Of course he will again - he does this every year. He claims it doesn't bother him, but clearly it does. If it didn't, he'd just ignore it and keep posting what he hears. I never once got upset when he missed on a rumor, but it gets irritating that he is so arrogant, dismisses people rudely when they make suggestions (because he knows otherwise), and claims that he told us so, whenever anything happens.

It's no one's fault that he's "not sharing info" anymore but his. He's an adult, and he doesn't have to answer to anyone here. Nobody asked him to stop posting his rumors - he's doing it out of spite and anger, and it illustrates perfectly that he does care.

Pouliot & Gorges are most likely moving

Guys like Girgs & Larsson, Josefson, etc would likely be movable

Idk about the goalies?
NyI needs somebody if they wanna try & get into the playoffs

Any bigger names or contracts (Sam, Bogo, etc) i would think won’t get moved until the draft, if at all

Honestly if Nelson can be the sweetener that brings back a guy with serious upside I'd consider that too given that he's a pending UFA.

No disrespect to him as hes played his role pretty well but I think because the others are so bad by comparison his abilities and ceiling are being over estimated. He's also 25 going on 26 so it's not like you can project some huge step forward next year.

I assume you are saying these are deficiencies currently.
So in addition to 6 bottom 6 guys,
What about:
-2 top 6 LW’s
-1 top 6 RW when Reino is gone
-Replacing slow poke, overpaid ROR in the next 2 years
-1 Goalie at least
- two Top pairing D-men

This is a serious question I am posing, what is your definition of “close”?

I ask because, to me close means they have their core and need a couple plug and play guys.

When you say you have 12 keepers out of 24 roster spots, that sounds far more distant than my definition.

I wouldn't mind trying to get Matthew Benning out of Edmonton.

Keep him, they finally find a guy who costs nothing and cab play a 3-4 role in Housley’s system, and poof, let’s get rid of him.
