They may only have till a certain date to sign him otherwise he may go into the draft or UFA. I’m going to get a hold of friend of mine who knows these sort of things.

If he isn’t signed by June 1 he becomes a UFA.

Was told he’s pretty sure they’ll sign him as they’re only on the hook for a 2 yr deal.
