My guess is they won't be able to get the 1st or top prospect they want between now and the deadline so they'll turn their attention to teams with multiple 2nds and too many AAAA prospects (i.e too good for the AHL but can't crack the NHL lineup, probably cause playoff team can't wait on the young player to get it going).

Having seen him play a few times AND looking at the Pens prospect list...I doubt it.

I think this would be a great trade for us that we should take, but I just think it's a huge overpayment for a rental. Too good to be true.

Having seen him play a few times AND looking at the Pens prospect list...I doubt it.

I'd definitely add to get him. He's what we should be trying to acquire. Goal scorer, NHL ready next season most likely. I love the idea, but yeah probably keep it moving like you said.

Sprong is a mid 2nd rounder from 2015 who has played extremely well for the WS Pens. His development curve is right on track. If Botts gets him, he knows him better than any other GM other than JR. That would be a solid trade. Seeing the minor pieces and picks to balance the trade will really tell you what each team thinks of Sprong.
