I think value has been down the whole time, I think the price dropping is botts giving in a bit with deadline approaching to ensure he gets something of value.

Im hopeful he gets decent value, im not all that optimistic. not because of Botts, although I would have sold much earlier, but because I dont believe Kane is all that great in the first place so you need to bet on someones stupidity. Unfortunately, Chiarelli is a seller.

He was the #1 available guy according to all the experts,
so he had to have pretty good value at some point
Obviously there are GMs out there who think Kane is good
That’s what matters

If there’s GMs out there still that like Kane (and I’m sure there still are) then we should be ok

We only need 2 of them to really want to bid on him

That doesn’t mean i think we are getting 4 good pieces...
but i also think we will do better than a 2nd & “b” prospect

dude the guy has said about 875684 times he liked the new Kong, pay attention

I understand he is a top D today, but as you stated, we should not trade the assets, sign to the big contract and should be weary of 8 more years with his injury history.

I like the player, if we signed in FA, I would consider more, but not the right idea to trade for him with the team at the current state.
