Sharks
Ducks
Knights (sign and trade)
Makes way more sense imo. Teams in that division haven't loaded up yet - jcragcrumple
Sharks make a lot of sense, i could see them wanting him beyond this year as well.
Doesn't really seem like a guy the ducks would want and vegas would be wise to steer clear |

Yeah, I see that now. P. Kane is amazing, but I would still hate to take on another big contract with money/term going for years to come on a guy who's soon due to be hitting that slow down window. If we could off-set some of Kane's deal by sending them ROR, it would be much easier to swallow. - sskkoo1
Pat Kane in buffalo would be like trading for Cornelius Bennett. That would fire up the fan base.
Ror and 7.5 out the door. 10.5 and pkane88 in?
For 3 million more you would have a 3 time Stanley cup champion.
You are worried about another big contract?
That's bogo and Moulson money |

there was
botts wanted a return with the big club in 1 to 2 years
not 5 years down the road - homiedclown
Patience is wearing thin with this fan base.
Terry, Kim and JB are fully aware of that.
Another 5 years down the road is a tough sell to a fan base that just went through 17 years with the Bills. |

When Evander was scorching hot, I think there would have to have been some pretty solid offers coming JB's way, no ?
At least one or two I would think.
Just my opinion however. - Over50
I would think the salary hit earlier in the year and kanes injury history/ off ice issues may have been part of the problem.
Maybe jbotts did get an offer ,but wanted to keep Kane around to help divide the locker room and finish at the bottom? |

If we could swap RoR and Kane in some sort of deal , I'd do it because we'd only be adding 3M to the cap. But if we have to trade our first this year plus plenty of cheaper assets, I wouldn't. Eichel and P.Kanes cap hits would take up an awful lot of room, and as good as Kane is, he's still 30 and guys at that age tend to slow down. He's played a lot of hockey for Chicago and he'll probably be great for another year or two, but then what? what if he goes from great, to good, to okay? We're still stuck with that cap hit for years and will have no way of paying Casey or anyone else who deserves to be paid.
I have no doubt p.kane will put butts in the seats. I have no doubt he'll be great at least for the first little while with us. But, I will not overpay for him and his contract now based on what he did for Chicago in the past. I don't care how many cups he's one, he did that for Chicago. I only care about what he can do for us moving forward and if that's gradually going from Great, to good, to okay, than no thanks. Jagr has the best resume of any pro player in the world right now, but no one wants him because his accomplishments are in the past. I just don't want to pay a boatload for Kane if all his cups are in the past now as well. |

Chicago isn't going to give him away.
Might cost ror, nylander and casey
Russ Brandon would be all for that marketing move |

Jagr is 15 years older then pkane.
And still signed a deal this year and played well last year.
Kane has 4 years left, not 10 or 12.
How much is going to drop in the next 3 or 4 years.
Go from super awesome year 1
Awesome year 2
Super great year 3
Great year 4.
Some drop off.
Ror will go from pretty good to still pretty good

I would hang up the phone once Casey's name came up.
The other names you mentioned I could be and
would be okay with losing.
But, that's just me. |
