I still don't think that's enough, he's not what we need as of now. Great player but the way this team is now, it's a waste .We need to move out big contracts then get the team in order, then add.

IMO offense is started by Defense. Our D is franking horrible. Breakout passes are less then high school level most nights, passes in the skates, behind or way in front of the streaking wingers...

I'm surprised that the Ryan contract is part of the negotiations...makes things much more difficult.

Not only that though, they're limiting the return. There will be less suitors with Ryan involved and if Bolland's trade is any indicator it will cost a lot to move Ryan. If I'm getting it right, Bolland had a lower cap hit and one less year of term than Ryan now, it cost Florida Lawson Crouse (#11 in the previous year's draft) for a 3rd to get it done...
