or olofsson, Laaksonen, Bryson, maybe even Budik. Hopefully one of them pans out - Sabresfan-365
exactly. oloffsson looks like he might work out. leading an elite euro league in goals at his age... |

Risto is having an off year.
He is a keeper
He plays a bit too much. Causing errors.
The losing effects some guys more than others.
He's that guy in my opinion. Competitive
Beast mode every game.
Love it when guys try and ram him (Tom wilson) and they go down
Work out warrior
How could an average player have brought in Taylor hall? - Boss34
Not sure, ask Adam Larsson |

he ices the puck all the (frank)ing time for no reason. probably partly why he is up there in ice time leaders every year, we arent allowed to take him off the ice half the time. - TheHank

It would have worked for us in 2006 if wrists didnt break, ankles didnt snap, and brains had stayed in tact a couple weeks longer. - TheHank

yep, i just mentioned pu a minute ago too. watch him skate with the puck, he looks like connor mcdavid. i am in no way trying to actually compare him to mcd but that one aspect of his game is pretty impressive. im excited for him, he could add a lot of speed to a third line.
and nobody would ever say he looks like ror or sam at full speed with the puck. |

The fact that jay McKee was using his pee wee shin pads , because he was superstitious still hurts. - Boss34
Jay Mckee refuted that story on the instigators FWIW. He said the narrative of not washing his pads was completely fabricated |

either way, a josh georges, or cody franson type deadline addition might have won us a cup that year. |

There's no doubt in my mind that a depth pair as good as Falk and Fedun would have at least gotten us to the finals |

yep, thats what i mean, all we had to do was get by carolina. we were completely crippled on defense for that game 7. we would have run over edmonton in the finals. not a doubt in my mind about that.
that WAS our year. |

It absolutely sucks. People forget how good Lydman and Tallinder were together. If they were healthy, definitely a cup win IMO. Sucks. |

true, but being down 5 starting defenseman was more of a problem than that. we carried a lead into the third period of game 7 with guys like janek, jilson and paetsch logging big minutes for us.
that was our year. not 99, not 07, that was our year. |

All kidding aside, that was a serious bomb of a shot by Voynov. Didn’t even see it go in live. Shea Weber through the net caliber. |
