He had to regain his mass. I think he's back. I'm still worried about 3 years from now, when he'll need to slim down to maintain his speed. Not sure if he'll be the same player

3 years from now his contract will be tradeable, if the sabres want to.

I still think he'll be a nice 3rd liner on a good Sabres playoff team. He can be very effective with Eichel too. They need to find an actual LW for Eichel

Too slow for the long haul at their contract values, obviously projecting a higher new contract for Sam.
They are however very skilled around the net no question about that, and they do p,ay well together.
I could live with it for another year, maybe two...if they go spend and get some finishers for Jack.
