Good win. Anytime we beat the Bruins or Leafs, i am happy. Here's the guys I would be OK with moving forward from the existing team:
Jack
Rhino
ROR
Baptiste
Scott Wilson
Risto
Scandella
Nelson
Antipin
Jake McCabe
Justin Falk (as a 7th or switch with Taylor Fedun)
Chad Johnson (50/50 roll with Ullmark)
That's 12. Means they would have to find 11 players. It would free up a ton of $$ in order to get that #1 d-man and some top 6 forwards. Of course, this would never happen because guys like Bogo, Pommer and Okposo aren't going anywhere with the albatross contracts they have. |

Would not be shocked to see Casey Nelson walk. Bad team, bad locker room. Let's see if Botts has any interest in signing him. - PrinceChill
He better sign him.
Who else on this team is worth the effort rather than Nelson. |

I'm sure he'd like to resign him at a reasonable number. The problem is that he should be asking for Beaulieu's 2.4m or more. I like his play, but it hasn't been many games, and I'd be very uncomfortable going that high for him.

Bogo’s contract and record for being hurt is a killer for sure, they just can’t count on him.
Pommer is toast, but only one year left...I could see another Moulson situation brewing
Okposo has regained his form, currently he is a contributor not a liability.

IMO, it takes more guts to trade guys who are playing well than overpaying to keep them.

Thank you:
Gerbe mentioned that Myers was tough at some point against vs. Pronger. I didn't remember him ever being tough. 6 '9. And soft.
Risto is tough. Hard to play against. Beast
There was a comparison between the 2.
I do not see it. |

Myers ? He never played against Pronger. Having Myers now with Risto would help |

Sure, no argument.
The key is to build with these players and eventually get to a level like Tampa has achieved with prime players taking home town discounts to enable a solid shot at a championship.
So, the key is to avoid overpayment...May not be able to do that early on when the team doesn’t have the cred to ask for a hometown discount...else, you trade away everyone who is good and then you’re stuck in neutral forever. |

Would be a lot better, even though Myers was very soft. Honestly, at this point, all the Sabres can do is hope Bogo puts together a healthy season next year (I know) and he raises his trade value. Maybe they buy him out. |

Nelson walks, Antipin walks, we lose the Dahlin lotto, "Hey, Risto, I hope you're up for doing everything yourself again next season." |

I hope he's getting everything worked on right now; make him a bionic man. Pegula has the resources. We can rebuild him. |

Myers is playing better than bogo for sure.
He's had a solid year on a good team.
Myers was not playing well when we shipped him out.
He was overpaid and was probably worth next to nothing.
Or basically bogo, who is worth less than nothing.
Bogo will need to be traded with a pick to be removed from our roster |
