Meier, Hertl, .....?? - sbroads24

Myers ? He never played against Pronger. Having Myers now with Risto would help - SABRES 89
Playoffs back in 10/11 they played Philly. Myers was dominate in that series. |

Still not sure how any sabres fan can't like risto?
Beast. Playoff tough. Takes no poop.
When you go to the games , he has the opponent's chasing him around all game. - Boss34
Vs the Kings, dion and some other guy I never heard of were running him (risto) all afternoon... they couldn’t knock him down and they were really trying. He’s a big dude. He’s overplayed because our team sucks but he’s a keeper.

I believe that was the coming-out party for both Myers and Ennis. Our series ended when that dirtbag Mike Richards boarded the living (frank) out of Connely who was playing great up to that point.
Afterwards, Myers struggled because he was never actually coached on how to play proper defense. Lindy just let him roll with it because of his offensive upside. This info came from Craig Rivet, so I'm inclined to believe he isn't lying. |

Slow racecar
Living dead
Open secret
Larger half

Nelson walks, Antipin walks, we lose the Dahlin lotto, "Hey, Risto, I hope you're up for doing everything yourself again next season." - sskkoo1
Sounds about right. But fear not, Botts will definitely use one of the 4ths on a Dman. |

Myers is playing better than bogo for sure.
He's had a solid year on a good team.
Myers was not playing well when we shipped him out.
He was overpaid and was probably worth next to nothing.
Or basically bogo, who is worth less than nothing.
Bogo will need to be traded with a pick to be removed from our roster - Boss34
I think most Sabres fans were done with him. When he tried to play "nasty," he just couldn't actually muster that passion. He needed a change of venue. Sounds like he still has his share of problems. It's a shame because he had the size and tools to be dominant, but he didn't have the heart to match |

I agree. Same vs. Washington.
Ovi and Tom wilson kept running at him. He was destroying them.
I think when you are at the games, risto and his beastness is way more noticeable |

He might end up fitting really nice on McDavid’s wing

The fact that he is still a valued commodity at the age of 34 shows just how few legitimate snipers there are in the NHL these days.
Good for Vanek I suppose. |
