God I hope we have a nails GM and not an “OMG I’m over my head and I screwed up a very important trade deadline” GM. |

Is that what they felt when they went to the finals? I just dont see it, not these days - Sabresfan-365
Agree to disagree.
Would you say the game in the playoffs is different or the same as the regular season?
From watching the NHL since 1971, I would say the games are distinctly different.
Far, far more intense from a physicality aspect to an emotional perspective...both of which feed each other.
My bet would be Kane would perform better than Sam in that environment.
Again, it isn’t either or...he isn’t some 4th line scrub who can’t skate and gets scratched every other game. He brings it and can play tough, not fighting, just plain tough ... then he can pot goals, even with sending many shots wide and high...he still gets his 25+
I’d take him 100 out of 100 over Sam, especially in playoff hockey. |

All of this is true and I agree the playoffs are much different, like you said, the whistles go away so there's much more 5v5 action. Which Kane hasn't done well in for most of this season.
There's a lot more emphasis on tighter checking and defensive hockey as well, which kane isn't good at. I respect his aggressive play, speed and hard work. But factoring in other important aspects of playoff hockey, the overall make up isn't a must have player. A nice add to have no doubt, but imo (and its just mo) not a guy you need to pay up for.

What? Of his 40 points, 9 are on the powerplay and 3 are short-handed so 12 of his 40 points and only 6 (3 PP and 3 SH) of his 20 goals are not 5v5. |

From this era. And matt cullen (the centre btw) doesnt play the same game as evander kane.
And what i notice from your list is entirely low cost bottom 6 players. - Sabresfan-365

corsica has him at 10 goals ES so the discrepancy must be in relation to empty net goals |

Idk. Looks to me like 20 goals - 6 goals = 14 goals
likewise
40 points - 12 points = 28 points.
corsica, lol
He's scored most of his points even strength. - U Sir Name
ive got 9 goals, 17 primary points, 61 games played. Id be curious to know what the difference is. I assume empty net points but i dont actually know |

Just went there.
The About page is severely lacking.
Are they claiming all their data is 5v5 only? |

Their stats look wrong.
NHL has Kane with 1 EN goal and natural stat trick has him with 14 &14 at even strength. |
