Just heard that Evander might not move today?
Returns are dropping ?? - Over50
It HAS to be TSN trolling the Sabres.....cuz that's what they do. |

RICO MARTIN #1, trade deadline 2013
2/28/13 @ 12:07 AM ET
Folks this is a trade proposal based on rumours about a Briere deal.
Personally, I would rather focus on O'Reilly, but Colorado would probably demand our 1st pick, which would end up being 1st overall.....I would make the deal only if it was a lottery safe pick.
Pegula might be willing to bring Briere back and hope that Briere's playoff type spark ignites now for the Sabres for the stretch run...problem is you have to make the playoffs and one aging player is not going to get this done right now, but could he help start the fire maybe. Get to the playoffs and all of a sudden we all know what Briere is capable of doing there. Next year, we are back to squere one during the season though.
Scenario 1:
Briere and Simmonds to Buffalo
Stafford and Leopold to Philly
Scenario 2:
Briere and Couturier to Buffalo
Leopold, Regher and Adam to Philly
Scenario 3:
Briere to Buffalo
Leopold and McCormick to Philly.
Basically it is a salary dump for Philly as they prepare to take a run at getting Perry or Getzlaf......
Take you pick on the deal....keep in mind Philly will have salary cap issues going forward and everyone knows it.
Personally, I would love to see Hodgson center Simmonds and Gerbe; Briere move in with Pominville and Vanek; Porter on the wing with Ott and Ennis;
Grigorenko rotating with Hecht on a line with Foligno and Kaleta;
Scott to be dressed as a 6th defenseman with Brennan as the PP specialist;
Roll Sekera, Regher, Myers, Ehrhoff, with Weber and Pardy as your 3rd pairing.
Youd give this 10 games and if it does not work, start trading out quantity and picks for quality like O'reilly and do so by making room on defense for McNab and Pysyk and up front for Flynn (and Tropp next year) and Armia and Girgensons. |

Disagree, They have enough to talk about.
You don't just say that.
I expect Kane to be moved today.
BUT
If they do not move Kane today, Everyone deserves to be fired. including the owner. - ImThatGuy
Agree.
When you're a GM you have one job to do.
We see how the last one here didn't know how to do his job.
Knew how to drink pretty well though. |

That would be a HUGE (frank) up on GMJB part. This waiting to the last possible minute to make deadline trades rarely ever works out well, at least for us. Let's hope history doesn't repeat itself today. - sskkoo1

Everyone around the league saying that Kane will not get you what Nash did because of Kanes perceived Value.
Kanes past coming back to haunt buffalo, IF true.
Take a 2nd and a prospect and run. |

Their biggest story lines today are Kane and Karlsson. Karlsson will not get moved and they know Kane will probably go in late afternoon so as every hour goes they will drum up drama that he's not being traded. That show has turned into more of a reality show than actual facts. |

Bob McKenzie who is pretty plugged in said not to Expect Nash value on Kane.
Teams still don't trust him to fit in.

What a buzz kill. John Shannon from Sportsnet just said that a manager told him that Kanes' value is dropping so much there is a chance he doesn't get dealt today. Either he has bad sources, that manager wants to get the price down or we are (frank)ed - GilPerreault11
there is a better chance that I squat and a monkey flies out of my a$$ than Kane getting moved for a 3rd, or not moved at all |

I've been good man, hope you are doing well too. Wonder if the Blues make a last effort to improve their team especially with their current skid. Either way I am curious about the returns as GMJB would obviously like to keep the kids in Rochester |

For Jack to tell my friend that Evander is a cancer in the locker room and pretty much calling Lehner a back up goalie, that's not good for returns for either.
Kane may not get back what many think here exactly for the reason why Jack said.

This is chatter from second-tier buyers trying to tank his value to get back in on a trade. I don't buy it |
