Ok well again missing my original point. We can go off on tangents about what "culture" means or we can just look at the facts. This organization is flawed. Its been flawed for many years, Countless coaches, multiple GM's, internal meltdowns and turmoil, years of no playoffs, players leaving unhappy. I totally agree that we are lacking talent and have missed on many draft picks ect. but this is a very undesirable place to play and our reputation around the league is getting worse not better.

All true. I just think that it's overblown that "no one wants to play in Buffalo." Players sign here all the time, plus free agency isn't what it used to be so all they need to do there is buy low on some guys. The college thing, I will admit could be a problem, but Nelson and (KHL) antipin did sign here. Maybe that will get worse, but players pick different teams for different reasons. The sabres are a couple of very good draft picks, a couple of good trades and a few shrewd FA signings away from having a good culture, aka a good team. Of course, YMMV

I'd much rather get an NHL ready prospect than the 28th pick in the 1st round.

Botts prob wants the Blues pick for Kane so they freed up salary and also got a first rounder back. Similar to what the blues did with Reeves deal
