He should have traded Kane for a 1st in 2025, at least it's a 1st right.

I said thus far 89 đź‘Ť.
I expect better things down the road from JB.

The second would be disappointing. What would be more disappointing would be the nothing though

He made his first bad move..

Became too cocky and thought he could ride Kane to the glory lands that (frank)ed him in the ass

Kane does not hold value around the league.

his past baggage far outweighs his positives.

plus he is asking for 7MM + on a UFA contract.

He got what he could for him.

Hey I'm not thrilled with the deal but I'm not gonna sit here and b!tch and moan about it.
- dadeadhead

Everyone else will do that for you.

Everyone has their crystal balls out, know exactly how O'Regan will turn out, know exactly who we're picking with that (probable) 2nd round pick, and know EXACTLY what the offers were for a guy that has zero hockey sense, zero playoff experience, baggage up the as$ and is a rental.

Should we ? myself and Homie? because deals change over night as do other deals that sometimes have an effect also. Things change my friend.

If Homie or 89 we’re close in any of the roooooomers, we got Pittsburgh garbage. That Brassard trade was magical.

Welp maybe by the time Eichels contract is done we might sniff the playoffs

I think we all hoped for more. But do you think another GM would have gotten more for Kane? There's only so much you can do. From my understanding, this OReagan guy was on the up and going to break the SJ lineup next year. He also has chemistry with Eichel and ERod

You have no idea what they see in him. Zero. You're not an NHL General manager.

Dude is 24. That's not prospect age, it's hopefully a late bloomer age.

He gambled to play it out at the deadline. In my opinion the deadline is increasingly becoming overrated. I have no idea what went on during the season as far as trade chatter for Kane but a value for his return should have been established before the season started and Botts should have worked on that value all season long and if something got close pull the trigger.
