Dude is 24. That's not prospect age, it's hopefully a late bloomer age.

He gambled to play it out at the deadline. In my opinion the deadline is increasingly becoming overrated. I have no idea what went on during the season as far as trade chatter for Kane but a value for his return should have been established before the season started and Botts should have worked on that value all season long and if something got close pull the trigger.

The Kane trade has Buffalo as the Bott of all the jokes. My Best Garth
