#Sharks GM Doug Wilson: "Evander is one of the top young power forwards in the NHL. He is a dynamic player who has a unique combination of size, grit, speed and goal-scoring ability. We wanted to add a player that could help this team but also was just hitting his prime."
Notice the word "unique." It's almost like Doug Wilson plagiarized my comments about him. Oh well, he's gone and the Evander Kane era is over in Buffalo. Now, the Sabres will try to find a "dynamic" and "unique" power forward with scoring ability. - GilPerreault11
Unique.
40 points a year.
about to cost 6MM+ per year if not more.
Unique.

which half is the bottom? - IndianaSabresFan
You're being facetious, but Nolan, larsson, Girgensons, Moulson, Pominville (surprisingly Pouliot), Josefson, antipin, Falk, gorges, Bogo and johnson |

I think today is less about Botteril and more about how little value the heap he was left with holds around the league. |

Disappointing... This team needs a complete overhaul. We shipped out 1 guy?? - hehateme
Okay but who are you trying to ship and what are you trying to get back? Any UFA will be gone next year and most of them aren't getting you more than a 6th, so if you want to be mad about that, cool but that's not worth me being upset.
90, 55, 21 are all big deals that rarely get done at the deadline, especially for players that aren't playing at a level to justify their money.
23 is an RFA, if you're willing to give up on him that's debatable for sure.
Yes, the team needs to be redone, but it wasn't going to happen today. This is an offseason/multi-season process. Rushing is what got us here. |

Is the AHL championship prize called a Stanley Cup? Because we were promised a Stanley Cup. |

They only thing that TM did was actually have the stones to make trades. I do not fault him for swinging and missing. I will always rather go down swinging, then to strike out with the bat on my shoulders. - hehateme
Maybe u strike out when u could’ve walked though
It would be one thing if GMTM had a better success rate with all the moves he made...
The ONLY one u could consider a success is the O’reilly trade
And even that’s debatable
Also,
If he would’ve just “stuck out looking”
we would have all those assets still that he essentially wasted |

That's what the team needs. We're all complaining that we didn't get rid of all our garbage, but then we want to be ready to compete next year. It doesn't work that way. |

If we are ever going to win a cup, we will need to sit through another TOTAL rebuild.
You cannot patch up this roster and make them winners. Quick patches will leave us the same as we were 2010-Pegula, perennial middlers who will never be more than a first round sweep
Botts hasn't even extinguished the dumpster fire, much less clean it up build a new one.

I told u I’d admit if i was wrong
I was
He got a 2nd & a “b” level guy
Unfortunately,
the market didn’t bear a better deal
My assumption that teams would bid up his value apparently never happened
It’s a bummer |

Not another total rebuild, this would be the first. Murray didn't do the total rebuild. He tried to rush it and didn't do it properly. |

So the 2019 conditional 4th becomes a 3rd in 2020 if the Sharks wants to keep their 2019 4th, hmmm

Not negative at all, just a realist.... We have sucked for years. have we won a lottery? - hehateme
Doesn’t mean we can’t win this year
Right now,
we have the 2nd best chance to do so
Maybe we finally get a little luck
No harm in being hopeful |
