Then why were you posting that the sabres and Kane were close to an extention? Couple months worth of debating that.

Jbotts didn't want Kane. Nobody did

It’s not like he “Ok’d“ specific moves GMTM was f#cking up

Sure, he was wrong to trust him
But Pegula wasn’t signing Moulson, or trading for Bogo & Kulikov

He oversaw things...
but Murray was the one who Fd everything up

Put the blame where it reallly lies

- jdfitz77

Pegula pays the bills (contracts) it goes through him, Murray doesn't do it unless he signs off. Part of Murray's firing was his additions did nothing, Pegula pays the bills it's his call.

I'm sure it will. You have relatives in NT in their early 30's? I graduated with a Pachla and another one was a few years ahead of me.

It doesn’t come as any surprise about Pegula’s closing the door on an extension...they were pissed about the incident around the draft, then news a couple of months ago that the agent said nobody had reached out.

I do like the angle of him shouting it down when his agent confirmed it, just to spite them by lowering his value.
Interesting.

in reference to kane, I believe it's very possible that Pegula was in on, and probably drove, the decision not to re-sign him
- Michael Pachla

I guess it’s possible

Just don’t see why he’d wait tho long to want Kane gone?
Doesn’t make much sense

For the crap season the Sabres had, I REALLY wanted to see something great out of him. Not really fair to him, but there was so precious little that seemed good this year.

botts wanted to extend kane over the summer

terry/kim did not sign off on it

- homiedclown

Interesting
Maybe they said to trade him & Botts convinced them we’d get more at the deadline then?

That’s the only think that possibly makes sense to me
Although i still think if they wanted him gone that badly, that they wouldn’t have waited

found out around noon today

under no circumstance was botts allowed to extend kane, and he wanted to

- homiedclown

I bet other GMs must’ve sensed/known this.

Welp back to building the Nylander shrine

Sure, but Pegula isn’t a player personnel expert
Of course he would defer to his GMs opinion

Pegula signed off on $$$,
not any particular player

GMTM was making the personnel decisions that Fd us, not T Pegs
