Yes I did

The likeness would have been uncanny. A guy like Sacha Baron Cohen would have embodied that massive personality so well imo. But if the band says he wanted to make too dark of a movie, maybe they're right.

He wanted to make a factual movie, they want to gloss over the bits that don't paint them in the brightest of light. Can't say I blame them, but come on, what do they care at this point? Obviously enough, but still...

One scene he wanted to do was the party(probably a regular occurrence) where they had little people(or whatever the PC term is) walk around with plates of cocaine on their heads.

They also want it to be less about Freddie and more about them.
