todays agenda:
-Carol writes a wonderful piece about a hard fought loss and Edler being the highest scoring Canucks dman ever.
-people hate on Edler, even though statistically they don’t have a leg to stand.
-we talk about mackinon for Hart

Edler gets WAY too much flack, he's a better player than people give him credit for. Always has the toughest assignments and plays major minutes.

Agreed. He plays at a really high level, 1/4 of the game in all situations and has for the better part of a decade. I’d like to see him go win somewhere.

Edler should be top point getter with all his prime minutes and time on the club. He plays all world or all pee wee , that is the knock on him

Benning was actually a pretty good player. I like Hextall because he manages assets better and utilizes the draft better.

JB was a decent player, but don't you dare make me defend JB's management abilities compared to Hextall's. DON'T YOU DARE!

That's what I mean. One year left, unless JB extends him add adds another NTC.

Morgan Frost - 100 points in 60 games

2017 - 1-1-2-3-4-4
2016 - 1-2-2-2-3-4
2015 - 1-1-3-3-4-4

Five 1st round picks in the past three years and positioned with two more in 2018, that's why I like him.

I will leave that dead horse .

Jake seems to be getting better and more confident every game. Bo is a bull and man he is getting consistent. I really like Sutter and Guddys game the last few weeks

I am beginning to like Bo's line and Sutter's line . Goldy seems to be doing okay with the twins

- VANTEL

Watching them at the game and seeing the non-camera stuff I agree with the above.

First game in Van this season and the atmosphere was great. People seemed entertained and appreciated effort and hustle. Yeah mistakes were made and yeah Gagner is useless often but Gaudette is coming around the mountain woohoo.

JB really came into the worst GM position in the league.

Hextall had giroux and voracek.

Sakic had Landeskog and Duchene.

Yzerman with Hedman and Stamkos.

JB had Bo Horvat and Chris Tanev.

He saw early on the Flyers needed to build through the draft, something he learned from Lombardi I'm guessing, I think he's done a good job using the draft to restock for them.

Benning's amassed some good young players, I just wish he'd have drafted more because he appears to be better at that than anything else he's tried.

100% agree with above.

At the same token though, the best "rebuild" move this organization has done since 2012 was schneider for horvat, which was a gillis move. Definitely wish benning was more proactive with rebuilding than treading water and trying to stay competitive

Hextall's made some dumb signings as well, as I just said, I just like how he sees the value in drafting above all else.

Archi is to thank for that, He opens up a lot of space by hitting, creating turnovers and is actually a pretty skilled passer. Wish he wouldve been here all year, instead of the black hole of production known as Gaunce. He hits more, kills penalties better, almost has put up more points, in a 3rd the amount of games and is more of a force in terms of standing up for his teammates and even fighting.

I still hang on to Gagner one more year as a safety net. It is going to get crowded when Gaudette Granlund Sven Gold and Tkachuk push for jobs next year

I honestly have so much faith in weisbrod, brackett and benning to draft. Which is why it always pains me to see any draft pick dealt in deals. The guy can obviously draft well throughout the rounds, acquiring any picks are a chance at a win compared to crawford and gillis getting those picks imo

SSM players always have crazy stats.

Top 2 scorers from each team over the past 5 years. Jared McCann and Nick Cousins are the only 2 NHL players.

If you go back another 5 years only Jake Muzzin and Jordan Nolan.

You could say the same about the portland winterhawks. Many standout players have played for them, super inflated stats, which dont translate to the NHL the same.

Slip and slap and nighthawk were offended with my negative, anti-pom pom takes yesterday. I have taken 2018 into consideration and will try and be positive due to feelings.
