Watch Goldobin and lipstick go on a tear.
Would give us some positives to focus on in the offseason and allow night hawk to pencil them in on his top 6 for next season

- dbot

Nice try but nope lol

Leipsic is a nice 3rd wheel who could compliment Bo & BB. He can move up & down the lineup IMO. Goldy is top 9 til he figures it out if he ever does. Up & down the lineup is not likely meaning he is failure til he proves otherwise. Chances are Goldy gets bumped down by prospects & disappears to the KHL if not traded.

I just watched the Chara / Oleksiak fight. Chara is a class act . In the first two seconds he could have dropped Oleksiak before he even dropped his gloves , but he gave him a chance to drop the gloves and get set. Class act

Are you always this clueless, or just on Fridays?

Your sensitivity isn't matched by Goldobin or any other player who will take what Green said in stride.

Here's a hanky.

yeah, I hate the guys who literally jump a guy and/or start throwing punches before the other guy even realizes he's in a fight.

if you're gonna fight someone, do it like a man

Good on Chara

if chara wanted to be (or naturally had that a-hole nature) he would have been the best fighter in the league without question in my mind.

^this

I just want this organization to be taken seriously, and I find it near impossible when the 3 muppets who are currently in charge, keep giving media/fans/etc negative poop to always talk about. My rant has nothing to do about sensitivity. I would prefer Green benched vets if they are being stupid, rather than automatically resort to rookies being scratched if they aren't deserving over a vet.

Is that negative poop?

a pre-requisite to work for the canucks should not be that you are somehow tied to the organization from earlier playing days

100%

He could also probably really (frank) some players up if he went out actually trying to throw the hardest hits possible and put 100% into every shot he takes.

The guy definitely holds back out of respect for others.

he only calls out the players he thinks can play better.

My beef with his hiring is that he had no competition. No other interviews. Maybe he didnt play for the nucks, but he was gift wrapped the job after a few seasons in Utica. I dont hate green as a coach at all, i quite like the way he coaches, i just think hes a bit of a dink

i honestly think that a lot of these big guys have the mentality where they don't think their size is fair and hold back.

i felt the same about tree.

chara and tree have probably always been the biggest and strongest kids. they know they can fcuk up most guys' worlds... and it is for that reason they are more restrained.

they are as aggressive as the situation warrants but aren't looking to pick fights either.

he's done it multiple times, yes. I'd say it's excusable if the guy you're jumping just did something equally or worse to your teammates, but that's about it.

i liked bieksa but we can all agree that 1) he picks his spots; and 2) he'll ride/cross the line as to what is "fair."

Bieksa typically doesn't jump guys before they're ready to fight. He's just caught a couple off-guard with his unorthodox strategy.

I think it's great that Green is calling out Goblin's pathetic performances. I agree that he should do the same with some vets.

When Goldy gets off his lazy arse & goes & gets the puck I’ll be amazed. Idgaf about primadonna players one bit. Very few Russians play 200’ hockey & the ones that do are true stars. Malkin busts his arse but OV is known to be a floater. This just in Goldy is not OV.

Russia will just deny that that was the score and say they are once again the victim of a western conspiracy to mistreat their fine young athletes.

Fro the Caps games I've watched, OV is actually back checking these days, he still has some lazy shifts, but I was surprised to see him hustle and break plays up defensively multiple times.

Trotz effect.

Let's not get too carried away. Like the rest of the Bruins, he was a dirty pr!ck in the 2011 finals.
