Russia will just deny that that was the score and say they are once again the victim of a western conspiracy to mistreat their fine young athletes. - YeOldTimer
might be a bit of a stretch to include Fiji in the west... |

yeah, I hate the guys who literally jump a guy and/or start throwing punches before the other guy even realizes he's in a fight.

Fro the Caps games I've watched, OV is actually back checking these days, he still has some lazy shifts, but I was surprised to see him hustle and break plays up defensively multiple times.
Trotz effect. - Nucker101
Took him a decade to learn what it takes to win in the NHL & not just score goals. Datsyuk makes him look silly IMO |

Not for the Ruskies. They play the us-vs-the world underdog approach better than anyone.

The Canucks didn't get the memo prior to the trade deadline that the rules that had been enforced so stringently all season would be changing for the finals.
Looking forward to seeing these stupid hooking and slashing penalties they've been calling become a non-factor effective April 15th. |

So here we have it,..
The team sucks & our drafting is going well & yet its poopfest over a Pres/GM/Coach.
Am i missing something or is it to turn around faster than anyone thought it would? |

Sure, but if you’re a winger and score 40-50 goals a season, coach’s are more likely to turn a blind eye.
Hell, TG does it with Brock who’s had some bad defensive games. |

After the Rome hit Bettman and Campbell had all they needed for the Bruins to dirty it up and get that cup. That Bruins team had no fu**cking business being on the same surface as that dominant 2011 Nucks team. CHara was one of the dirtiest wieners out there getting away with everything. |

Rome got 5 games for the longest PO suspension at the time or maybe still the longest idk. Horton admires a pass in center ice like he was Lindros. Marchand gets nothing after the whistle & some call that hockey & others say nobody did anything about it. Why take a retalitory penalty to prove anything when we all know its stupid? |

True but a kid who tries is better than a superstar contract who makes highlight reels while floating is another thing.
Edit:
Defensive lapses is not the same as won’t play defence. |

Bruins were dirtying it up long before Rome did anything. At the end of the first period in game 1 they went after the Sedins. That's when Bergeron tried to grab Burrows' tongue. It was all the result of a scrum started after the buzzer by Gary's Lil' Darlings. |

Man, you watch this a few times and then compare it to some of the lame-ass suspensions that have been handed out since that incident. Chara tries to de-capitate a guy who doesn't have the puck and gets a zero (0, as in none whatsover) games suspension.
Really hoping Jeremy Jacobs is long gone before the next time the Canucks make the playoffs. |

Goldy was in a few times last game on the forecheck hard and came away with the puck. He is getting it. I don't know if he is ever going to be "hard" to play against. He just needs to want the puck more and to go get it himself. Being the skilled player he is, you would think he would want it on his stick more often.
Archie during Mic'd up was telling Goldy to "cmon Goldy, work work work." Goldy gave him a big smile while chewing on his mouth guard.
I wonder if Goldy understood that Archie a 28 year old, that has worked his ass off to play in the NHL. Goldy worked half as hard as Archie has, Goldy would be a legit top 6 player already. |

True. Plus Boychuk broke Raymonds back and Seidenberg fractured Bieksa's ankle...nothing. Cherry always said if Hamhuis wasn't hurt we would have won but I just can't see it. Bettman had his boy Sutherland take care of the rest along with Colin Campbell. |

Double standards from regular season refereeing to PO’s is frustrating no matter who gets shafted. Simply no reason why it happens. IMO the NHL should make the rules & then stay out of the way & leave it to refs to call it as they see it from day 1 til the Cup is won. To me its the American influence of over control like their own society lives with on a daily basis. Tantamount to rigging the outcome. It won’t happen though 😂 |

I realize AV told Torres and Lapierre to cool it but really it cost us. Bruins were shooting pucks in warmup at our players and our net and if I was coaching the Nucks at that time I would have had Salo load up and fire pucks into the Bruins bench...f**ck them... |
