4 leaf fans at the bar last night, wearing their jersey

I played dumb and asked them what the score was every time I went to chat with a few friends sitting at the bar

- homiedclown

I haven't been in the Leafs blog in a couple months. Some good guys there . Will have to visit tomorrow evening for sure

We need 12-14 players?

Aside from who we currently have on the roster, Rochester and college ect.

Or guys we would trade for other nhl players.

We dress 20 guys. Which 6 guys are keepers?

Seams pretty low

- Boss34

Max 23 on a roster
13/14 F
7/8 D
2 G

Keepers IMO
Eichel
Okposo
ROR (for now)
Reinhart (I’d take him myself, but if traded, then this spot is transferred to that player)
Pommer (cause we have to For next season)
ERod
Wilson
Risto
Scandella
McCabe
Nelson
Antipin (wouldn’t give up on him)
Johnson (backup)

So, need 10 if you buy into the list above,
More if you disagree with some of the guys I listed....about that number+or-

The Roch guys are not here on this roster, which was my quote.

He is finally starting to play like he has a heartbeat, yes.
Keep it going.
By this time next year, if playing at say a .75 PPG pace, then he will have EARNED a promotion up.
No gimme’s, earn it for everyon3 that is.

- IonSabres

He was recovering from his injury all year it would be idiotic to move him at a low cost when you see what his real potential could be when he’s fully healthy

But I will wait For Gandolf to call him a bust again

What do you mean ? I’m probably the only one on this board the supports him saying he’s “19” and technically still should be in OHL and should be starting the AHL next year people continue to call him a bust

This board is pretty 50/50 on the support/hate of Nylander.

It’s pretty mind blowing that people don’t call O'Regan a bust yet I mean poop he’s 24 😉

It would not surprise me if nylander finished off the season with almost around the 30 point total

I’m in.

It was funny back reading...he makes snarky I know all and your an idiot response to my suggestion to listen to offers... then after a few more posts, he agrees to listen but probably not trade it...which was the central part of my post...listen to the offer...IF you can get say 3 very good players....hmmm on a team most people think are 12-14 players away...might be the best move.

I know this goesquite a way back ... but if I’m JBotts and this type of deal is presented, I’m listening very attentively...

The Flyers offer for Eric Lindros was reported to include Mike Ricci, Rod Brind'Amour, Mark Recchi, Steve Duchesne, Ron Hextall, Dominic Roussel, multiple first-round draft picks, and $15 million

Use the $15m to buyout Pommer, Bogo and Moulson lol!

- IonSabres

We all have our moments on here where we act like we know it all

As far as the Lindros trade...
Idk if anything like that will happen again?
It was a perfect storm of Lindros saying he refused to play for Quebec and Philly & NyR both bidding on him
IF
Someone wanted to put a package together like that for Dahlin, then I’d at least consider it
He’s already so damn good though
Best defenseman prospect in quite some time, and that’s saying something bc there’s been some good ones lately

If we get him,
he probably enters our division as the
3rd best defenseman behind Karlsson & Hedman...
and with potential to be at least as good
as them

I know comparisons are kinda dumb (esp this early on)
but when scouts are saying that he’s offensively better than Karlsson at this age, and reminds them of Lidstrom defensively...
well it just doesn’t get better than that
He’s even got a physical edge to his game too

I'm not going to get my hopes up for Dahlin already have us selecting Z in my mind

Then we get rid of some bad contracts and sign John Carlson to ease the blow

- gerbe75pts

That would work,
IF we could get Carlson to come here

I can’t wait to watch Zadina & Svechnikov in the CHL playoffs
I still don’t know who I’d rather have?

I initially had some HATE, even though i thought he was a pretty good prospect, bc i was infuriated that we freaking passed on defense AGAIN high in the draft
And with Chychrun & Sergachev available

If Nylander works out & we get Dahlin, then we’re in pretty damn good shape

We could have quite a few Swedes on our team in a couple years

Ullmark & Johansson in net
Dahlin or Boqvist possibly from this draft
Nylander, Olofsson, Asplund, Davidsson all look like pretty legit prospects
I might be forgetting someone?

I think I’d take Boqvist
Probably needs to play a couple more years in Sweden before we bring him over though
He’s pretty tiny

Zadina is lethal sniper all his goals come from the right side, left side so set up passes to him will be easy

Svechnikov can score at every angle possible he likes to shoot like Kane but he actually has eyes

The really is no loser here but I prefer Zadina I just think he’s The more complete player

Check out Evan Bouchard. Defense for the London knights, the team that John Carlson played for, and he leads the team in scoring.

Currently ranked 6th by ISS.

I agree
They both look dynamic to me

I’m still gonna hold out hope for Dahlin though!
