Yotes win ............not the ideal result but I like it. After looking at their remaining schedule ..... come March 15th or so .... it gets pretty brutal.
I don't know, I read an article that said Nylander was loaned to the Steelheads and i read one that said he was taken in the import draft.
Is it that once drafted, its up to the player/club to allow that player to leave? - Sabresfan-365
Hank's probably right that a Sweedish pro team held his rights and loaned him to the CHL team that held his draft rights. Might be the same with Zadina, I don't know how to tell. Curious to find out, but it doesn't seem like there's any distinction on the sites I checked.

That's true for Nylander. SHL owned his rights, which is why he was able to bypass CHL rules and play for the Amerks after his draft.
From the ten mins of research i just did i think he was on a junior team in the czech republic. Nylander was on a pro league in sweden. Im not sure but i dont think its the same thing as far as eligibility goes. I think hes still considered a junior. Anyone know for sure? - TheHank
I can try & look into it
What matters is whether or not he was still under contract with that Czech team
Long night at work,
I’ll see if i can figure it out in the am

yeah that's what i was responding to when i posted that gif of dahlin. Why on earth would anyone trade down from that. Probably the best player in the deal right now - Sabresfan-365
The post was mine.

The point was to at least listen to, not necessarily promote trading the 1st (Dahlin).
For a team that needs 12 - 14 players, getting 2 or three very, very good players for that pick MAY be enticing rather than getting one.
But you know best, clearly.

Sure but the debate was always is Dahlin>>>> OEL+Domi+whomever is drafted at 2?
Dahlin is the better talent (arguably) but one player doesn't instantly change the fact that this franchise doesn't have a winger to play with Eichel and doesn't have a true #1 defensemen
A trade like this would get you a true number 1 defensemen and 2 wingers that could play with Eichel
I am not saying I would make the trade but I would definitely be open to it - Stripes77

I know +/- is not everything, but he is worst in the league.
Add - I find it odd that he and Erik Karlsson are the two worst +/- leaders this year.

Except it’s very doubtful that ARZ would offer us that much
Let’s just win the lotto first though
Then we can all argue what to do with the pick!
😂😂😂😂😂 - jdfitz77
I’m in.
It was funny back reading...he makes snarky I know all and your an idiot response to my suggestion to listen to offers... then after a few more posts, he agrees to listen but probably not trade it...which was the central part of my post...listen to the offer...IF you can get say 3 very good players....hmmm on a team most people think are 12-14 players away...might be the best move.
I know this goesquite a way back ... but if I’m JBotts and this type of deal is presented, I’m listening very attentively...
The Flyers offer for Eric Lindros was reported to include Mike Ricci, Rod Brind'Amour, Mark Recchi, Steve Duchesne, Ron Hextall, Dominic Roussel, multiple first-round draft picks, and $15 million
Use the $15m to buyout Pommer, Bogo and Moulson lol!
