If people thought Vanek was slow, I can't wait for them to see Jokinen try to move up ice. - Lindenis#1

if he can win even one more faceoff than he loses you should be able to bait a playoff bubble team into forking over a 5th.
Didn't Fiddler get like a 4th last year and he couldn't play anymore. Remember when Paul Gaustad got a first? |

lol yes
That was back when we were actually a cup contender and no one wanted to sell players.
Paul Gaustad, Zenon Konopka, Tim Gleason were all TDL studs back then |

There was no issue not selling back then.
Just that it was a golden age for bad players in trades. Craig Rivet got a haul one year.
That dumb mentality still exists today. "Well we could trade for this guy who is good but might make a mistake once or twice, or we could trade for this guy who can't skate, pass, or get out of his own end but wins 50% of his faceoffs and hasn't found a puck that he didn't like to fire off the glass and out" |

The Oilers won't make the playoffs next year - Lindenis#1
Respectfully will disagree. I think they're in. Ran into some pretty bad luck this year. Sekera and Talbot out for months. Draisaitl and RNH out for close to 6 weeks...McDavid played sick for almost three weeks. They'll be back. |

Even with an 80 million dollar cap they don't have the money to fix their defence and wings.
They'll have 12-17 million bucks for 8 players and need ELC bonus space for Pulijijijaijavajiari and Yamamamamamamto. |

What’s more likely, a team that has finished with fewer than 74 points (often much less) 8 of the past 9 seasons, or a team that matches their one season in the past 10 in the playoffs? Asking for a friend (Canucks) |
