The last thing I will say on this issue is Jeff Gorton looks at the name on the front of the Jersey , Jim Benning looks at the names on the back of it.

Gorton has done more in three weeks in trading than Benning has done in four years.

Jim is a nice guy but way over his head in dealing with a lot of GM duties.

He is building through the draft (his strong suit) but it is a long process.

I personally don't like him and wish we went a different route. If fans choose to like him you are entitled.

I’m fairly confident one of tanev or edler won’t be a canucks after the draft. If the sedins retire I could see edler waiving.

If there’s a guy JB likes in the 10-20 range he will pull the trigger and trade tanev

It's why i refuse to buy tickets this year and next until ownership can accept the fact that they can't have it both ways.

I think if you could get FA to focus on trying to buy the Lions, Whitecaps and bring back an NBA team to compete with MLSE he'd be too busy trying to make those organizations profitable that he might let the Canucks be run competently. His ego is too much involved with the team at this point, he's like a Jerry Jones or Al Davis, but without a championship to excuse his micromanagement.

Seriously, someone got banned for those leaf uniform toilet paper pictures? I have to say, those were hideous uniforms, made all the worse by getting hammered on the score sheet too. It was like watching an action star working on a green screen set wearing a green outfit.

There isn’t actually a “proper” way to rebuild, lots of teams take different paths with success.
