The last thing I will say on this issue is Jeff Gorton looks at the name on the front of the Jersey , Jim Benning looks at the names on the back of it.
Gorton has done more in three weeks in trading than Benning has done in four years.
Jim is a nice guy but way over his head in dealing with a lot of GM duties.
He is building through the draft (his strong suit) but it is a long process.

What are you talking about? My response to the question you posed was not a comparison of anything, it was, as Lefty noted, a #toughlove solution. One possible solution.
Edit - I don’t keep score on who said what months ago, I wasn’t suggesting the Rangers were awesome and Canucks sucked, I only offered one solution to players with NTC, NMC, Limited NTC. The only option not open to the team when dealing with the NMC is to send them down.
