I think they would give TB a run for their money.

Florida is winning all their games in hand on the Leafs (had 6), if the Leafs go on a slide they can find themselves in the wildcard race.
I said a few months ago to watch out for Florida catching the Leafs, it can happen. Leafs were winning playing horrid defence, it’s not out of the question that they go on a bad run.
The hardest teams to beat are the ones that have no pressure and nothing to play for, the leafs have a lot of those games coming up.
Just remember, It’s the Leafs after all. |

Laine 3 points yesterday, two more goals, not injured.
Enough said. - Scabeh
Who is going to get "injured" for the Habs next?
Gallagher, Drooling and Danault are definitely almost out for the season.

Yes, now is his time to shine.
Last time he finished the season strongly the Habs were out of it. |

That would be a pretty big stretch. This isn't your Phaneuf led leafs. Even if Florida wins out on all their games in hand they are still 7 points back of the Leafs with 15 games to go. |

They also had reimer in net for 36 games....now with Lou back...its easy to see why they could make a run.
Its highly unlikely they catch the leafs.
Even if the panthers go 14-5 and the leafs go 7-8 the rest of the way...the leafs still finish ahead of florida by a point. |

Last time he finished the season strongly, he started the next one as a top 10 points producer in the NHL.
Before exploding his knee, going full party mode and sucking for about 6 months afterwards.
Here's to hope! |
