S'up, Buffal-homies?

We don't need the two points tonight.

You don't want the two points tonight.

This should be a real yawner.

part of playing those cards right is to have an actual core in place so as to not have to play those depth guys in the top 6/top 4.

I don't see the need pursue anyone other than college/euro FA's and low risk/high reward deadline flips during free agency.

Even if everything falls exactly right with Dahlin, guhle, mittelstadt, ullmark etc. they're all young rookies. There going to be growing pains and they'll need time for pro development.

- Sabresfan-365

I have no issue with that at all.

I just think if say Nylander isn't ready for top 6 minutes in the NHL to keep him down in Rochester.

Eichel ROR Reinhart Okposo Mittelstadt would be locks in my mind to be in the top 6 and maybe a guy like CJ Smith to play with Jack (he can fly)

Vanek on the 3rd line and on the PP isn't a bad idea IMO.

Vanek is a great call
Jbotts and pommer connection

Offer him a 2 year deal
Maybe the stability and country club Phil atmosphere brings him back.

maybe, id look for someone who can skate and play more than one game state, those guys go for more at the deadline as well.

He would be cheaper, he can score, and if the season doesn't go well he gets moved at the deadline again...

How about James Neal?
What kind if contract is he looking at?

Phil with Nashville
Jbotts with Pitt

Seams like a good fit, if he's reasonable

He got a decent return this year

He isn't going to bring back a world of picks, but they would get more for him than the Sabres got for Pouliot

I think he stays in Vegas or ends up going to a contender perhaps back to Nashville

I like the less likely scenario for the Broncos

Acquire Tyrod Glenn and picks (probably pick 22 and a 2nd next year IMO) for #5 overall

That's an interesting way to get to the top 5

Sign Bradford for a year, draft Mayfield at 5 and still have another pick in the 1st

- Stripes77

Love it ..... But signing Bradford would be a mistake I don’t think he would last three weeks

How would we be back in this situation though. Trading Risto at 23 for futures does nothing to help this team. You have to have players around for after the rebuild. Trading away everyone who was good in order to tank was a major problem for the rebuild, along with squandering assets. And to some extent I understand the argument that ROR should be traded because by the time we're good, he'll be older, but on the other hand, having him makes you better now. Ownership is done sucking, Botts likes the player and fans are fed up. I think a full rebuild is totally misguided, but that's beyond the point. The point is that no one is ready to tolerate purposeful sucking
- jcragcrumple

Organizational rebuild,

Sabres have decent players in the system.

That Botterill guy hit the nail on the head when he said we need to create internal competition.

Why is Lamar Jackson not a QB?

Why is Josh Allen not being asked to workout at TE?

its because Josh Allen is white, End of Story.

- ImThatGuy

What????? It’s because he has no accuracy have you not seen him play ? And he blew it when the scouts are watching him

Sometimes you got to realize that you’re not a good quarterback he could be a elite wide receiver

That's okay because week 4 the rookie Mayfield will be throw into the starters role and lead the Bills back to the playoffs!

I'm all aboard the Mayfield train.

Even though he doesn't have the prototypical size, there's something about him that just strikes me as a guy who wants to win and will work and work and work until he gets it done.

Exactly. Let Pouliot walk and replace that spot. I mean the guy has played for half the league at this point, he's either got to go for the sweep or come home.
